Hello,

My family and I are leaving on Monday, July 30th for Orlando. We will be staying at the WDW Dolphin hotel. My kids are 14-son and 12-daughter. I am almost at the point of information overload so I have decided to add fuel to the fire. We have four full days for parks, etc. We were originally planning on going to Magic Kingdom, Universal Studios, IOA and a water park. Now I am questioning that decision.

What would the experts suggest for a plan of action? Would you eliminate the water park and maybe add another Disney park?

From what I have researched thus far, I know that we will enjoy IOA but am not so sure about Universal. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Any special deals on tickets available?

Thanks and look forward to hearing from yall.

What do your kids want to do? If its okay with them to eliminate the water park, I would go to Universal. I like it better than MGM Disney Studios. There are bargains to be had for tickets, I would do a search on this site and see what is available.

I think you can do all you have planned to do and more. I would not suggest eliminating a water park - my recommendation is Disney's Blizzard Beach - the slides there are the BEST. You could easily combine a visit to Disney MGM with Blizzard Beach - just take your water park gear with you, get to MGM at opening (maybe go on an early entry day so you can get more stuff in) and then after lunch take the disney bus to Blizzard Beach.

I love MGM studios, and I think your kids will too. It is nothing like Universal Studios, which I also like.

Have fun. Feel free to email me with any questions

a few weeks ago we voted and the winning parks/events were Magic Kingdom, Universal, IOA and a water park. They do not have a great deal of theme park experience, so I am sure that whatever we do will be "awesome" to them.

We have not purchased any theme park tickets yet so I still have some flexibility.

JLS...sounds like you would prefer Universal VS MGM?

Thanks

It probably depends on what tickets you plan to purchase. Both WDW and US/IOA include water parks in their flex tickets. Certain WDW tickets include entry to Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon or River Country. Certain US/IOA tickets include entry to Wet n Wild. I would figure out where you are going to spend more time and go from there as to which tickets to purchase. Enjoy!
