Now that the kid is 12 we want to do a couple days at "that other place" too. So, for the first time I'm including off-site hotels as options in my vacation shopping. *gasp*

Can anyone recommend an off-site hotel that's value priced and clean? We don't need a condo - just a place to sleep and shower. An indoor pool would be awesome, too. We'll be traveling in late February and outdoor swimming in Orlando at that time of year is hit or miss.

I feel like I'm starting from scratch! On property has always been so easy, but over the years our desires have changed (especially since our beloved paper Fast Passes went bye-bye).

My kids love Druey Inn and Suites. They do have indoor/outdoor pool. The breakfast was awesome. The free popcorn really good. I like that had light dinner for free. They have plenty of restaurant in walking distance.

All my kids is all into US, IOA, Sea World, Sea World Water Park and Busch Gardens.

They will be 12, 8, 3 when go this summer.

We like Residence Inn in Lake Buena Vista. There's no indoor pool.

Breakfast is outstanding and three days a week there is an included quick service dinner. Both are all you can eat. The dinner includes beer and wine, no extra charge.

You can get a studio on up to a mini apartment which includes a full kitchen and living room. Some rooms are two bedrooms.
You can actually get 4 queen bed accommodations or 1 King and 2 queen. The sofa is a bed, too.

This place is closest to Disney, but it's close to Sea World, too. It's not too bad for Universal; it's in the right direction.

We like Fairfield Inn and Suites on Apopka. We found it to be very clean with a nice staff.

We like the Embassy Suites on Kyngs Heath Road. More space than a traditional hotel room and free cooked to order breakfast.

I would still recommend looking at condos. They are often cheaper than hotel rooms.

Cheaper than $100 a night?

Way cheaper than $100 a night. We got Wyndham Bonnet Creek for $559 total for a 2 bedroom one week rental in August and Windsor Hills (through vacationacentralflorida.com) for $462 for for the week in a 3 bedroom.

Definitely.

We stayed in this one this summer and it was fantastic.

ETA: Having a washer and dryer in the condo meant not having to take half of a day out of our vacation to do laundry. I could just throw a load in at night when we got home. That washer and dryer were worth their weight in gold.

We stayed at the Best Western Plus on Kirkman Rd. About a 10/15 min walk from US. I was skeptical of the place at first, but found it to be quite clean and comfy, with complimentary hot breakfast

Thank you SO much for this. This site is wonderful! And the prices are so good I may actually be able to go to Disney in April like I've always wanted!!

You are an Angel!!
