First Time Making Reservations

Evening all,

I am going to be making my frist reservation in about a week and I was just wondering if there are any pointers from the vets, or if there is any information I will need to have on hand when I call.

Just so you know, we're booking Sept. 26th-October 4th, hoping for BLT 1BR Standard<Lake, if not that, then BCV 1BR (Close to the start of the F&W Festival), if not that the Boardwalk View BWV 1BR, and lastly MK View 1BR.

Those are just my preferences, so what do you think any pointers? Also curious what you think my odds are with those resorts.

you need the names of everyone going with you. and child ages.

Be somewhere where you can scream and do the happy dance when you get off the phone.....you will be ready to pack your bags and head home! It is fun!

Ask any and all questions, they are soooooooooooooo helpful. We were there last sept after the member cruise, you will also be able to do the halloween party. Our home resort is boardwalk but have never stayed there. But it is very handy for epcot. They can help you with almost anything. A couple times i was just booking meals at restaurants and the lady i was talking to went thru almost every restaurant and times while we were going to be there to see what was available. They make it so easy.

I guess you are planning making your reservation at the 7 month mark since you list so many different resorts. What is your home resort? The STD view rooms at BLT are the first rooms to be booked so you may or may not be able to get that room. I wouldn't be surprised that a LV at BLT is available. The MK views fill up fast too but since there are more of them you might luck out with one.

I too am interested in a BWV and BCV room at 7 months for the Epcot food and wine, but worry that the rooms will be already booked by home resort owners. I know there are fewer rooms at BCV so expect those rooms to fill up first. Hopefully BCV and BWV owners will post their opinions soon.

Well it looks like you're doing one important thing already -- have 2nd, 3rd etc choices. Since you are calling at 7 mths, this is very important.

Another tip would be to make sure MS goes over the confirmed dates with you and your total points at the end of the call. I found that sometimes, this catches an error or two and it's best to deal with it then than to call back and have to go through the whole explanation.

And as others have already mentioned, they are quite helpful so ask all the questions that you have. They are also very good at suggestions.

By the way, I booked Sept/Oct dates a few years ago and found that even when I called for the 1bd BCV, I couldn't get all the days at 9 mths (I had to change the dates). However, BWV 1 bd was always available. I can't comment on BLT standard view.
