I've read some reports that the resort can get pretty loud in the evenings, I'm coming over with my family in early to mid November, anyone had any experience with this problem, thanks Simon

We spent at least 3 week long stays there, at least twice in the Jazz building. Never had a problem with noise. Maybe Calypso by the pool may be different.

I have stayed there every year since 2009, twice in 2013. Usually in February, September, November or December. Been there for Cheer, Dance Teams, Pop Warner Football. I always stay in the Calypso, always facing the pool and have never had a problem with noise after 11. Yes, people walking to their rooms at times can make a little noise but it is there and then gone. To avoid this, get a room on the third level. Will be back there in 74 days and 180 days. Can't wait.

Nice one thanks, I'll be there in 72 days, Disney is taking over my family's life at the moment

Stayed there once for over a week on the first floor...never noisy...only early in the morning when families were headed to the buses. We could hear them laughing and talking and getting ready for their totally magical day at WDW!

We stayed the first three nights in the most remote room ever! It was on the back side of Building 5, 1st floor. After three nights of that long trek back to the room, we asked if we could switch rooms. At this point we didn't care how much it cost. To our suprise we received some pixie dust and they upgraded us to a family suite on the back side of Building 10, 1st floor for the next five nights! It was just as quiet there.

Loved our stay there!

We were just there in March for my daughter's cheer competition. We were in the Country Fair section. It was pretty quiet. We never had a problem in the food court with crowds. The pools were fine too. I think a bulk of the cheerleaders were staying at Sports.

With ANY value resort you want TOP floor, landscape view. Noise isn't an issue....

I'll be there in 73 days. Looks like we'll be neighbors. Look me up and I'll let you buy me breakfast.
That's most kind of you thanku, we are on one of the dining plans so it will be no problem, we came for the first time a couple of years ago and stayed at the Caribbean resort but it was like a whirlwind couple of weeks trying to do everything, we are going to try and be a bit more relaxed this time

I hear you.... we stayed WAY out in back of country music..... seriously it was us and some scrub brush.... I like to walk but this was FAR. And I felt uncomfortable walking all the way back there alone at night, which doesn't usually happen with me(esp. at Disney) so be aware the resort is long, and spread out more than others. It's nice and quiet and pretty there though,IMHO.

It really did feel like the most remote I have ever stayed in on property! We never reserve a preferred room because we also like to walk and enjoy the resort, but this seemed so extreme! Even longer than those mile long halls in the Boardwalk!

I can see how if you were alone you would feel uncomfortable. It was always eerily silent and deserted when we would come back late from the parks. Luckily, I had my hubby and three rowdy kiddos with me to make the long trek back!
