We're coming back for the first time in 3 years. Illness, accidents, you name it, we canceled ressies because of it. Because of illness I think it's been at LEAST a couple of years since I have been on the Boards so I am really out of the loop.

We will be staying in a GV at the Boardwalk.

So, what has changed? What is new with DVC and WDW? I see that Valet is no longer free to DVC. Is that $14 EVERY day? Yikes! What else should I be aware of? Give me the good, the bad, the ugly, etc.

Plus we will be bringing a 3 year old grandchild for the first time. Any special tips? I'm getting really pumped - I brought DS to WDW for the first time when he was 7, DH and I bought into DVC when DS was 16, now DS has a little family of his own and is anxious to show them around. He hasn't been in over 7 years and his wife has NEVER been (gasp).

Anxious to hear your collective wisdom.

DDP can be added to specific days of your reservation..

You have to "segment" your reservation for every change.

Ex. QS on day 1, DxDP on day 3, 5, and 7.

You could segment it into 4 parts, so you could have your QS for days 1-2, and share a single DxDP for days 3-4, another one for days 5-6, and then again for days 7-8.

You have to "check-in" at every point of the segment, but you don't have to move room or anything (it's possible and hopeful that Disney may fix this, so you don't have to do anything.)
