I have done this quite a few times and this was the first time they said no

the clerk I had must of been new cause he called someone up to ask--the person didnt look like a manger he actually looked like a stocker

but anyways he said no--I told him I do this all the time--

he said I must have been lucky getting clerks to run it through

yea ok

if you werent supposed to use the target GC to buy a DCG wouldnt the register not let it go through

after all it knows your buying a GC

so I just told them I didnt want it and stopped at another target and was in and out in nothing flat with GC in hand--good thing theres several targets in the area

Gotta love those knowledgeable Target employees!
They would rather tell the customer "no", than let the system do what it's supposed to do.

Last week I was at Target buying ebay GC's. Picked up the nine $50 cards I needed and since I was near the back of the store I went to the electronics counter to pay. Was told that the register limited customers to 8 of the same gift card. He rang up the 8 cards, I handed him four Target gift cards that I had purchased from Gift Card Mall. He put them through without an issue. On my way up to the front of the store I picked up the one $50 card I needed and went to the front registers to pay. When I handed the employee the Target gift card, he didn't say anything, but I could read it all over his face that he didn't think it would work. To give him credit, he scanned the gift card and lo and behold it worked. He didn't say anything to me, but I could see on his face that he was surprised it work. So hopefully he'll remember this next time a customer tries to pay with a gift card. I think I'll try to self-check next time, just to avoid any potential issues.

You know, those self check outs eliminates jobs for people, but might actually help out churners in return.

Hi - I am new to buying the Disney gift cards with Target gift cards to get a discount, but have seen a few posts about buy eBay gift cards and then getting target gift cards from eBay. Can you please explain how there is a discount with buying the Target gift cards through eBay? When I go to eBay, it shows it costs the same and there is a $2.99 shipping fee.

Thank you for your help!

Check the Disney Gift Card Deals thread. The process has been explained repeatedly on that thread.

Can you direct me to what page? It is an extremely long thread!
It is a very long thread, but honestly, the ebay card >target card>Disney card process is long and takes alot of patience and site-stalking. If you don't have time to look through the thread for the instructions and keep up with the latest changes to those instructions, then it's probably not a process for you. Totally not being mean about it, it's just true. I've kept up with that thread and all the updates and have concluded it's just too stressful of a process for me to add that extra layer of churning ebay cards into the mix. And with some people now getting lifetime bans from shopping on Target.com - it's just not a risk I want to take. So like I said, if you can't dig to find the explanation, then that process probably isn't for you.

Lifetime Target bans!? :scared:

Yeah, ebay churning was not for me. I couldn't even wait for Target to approve me for an additional 5% off, before flipping the GCs I got during the 10% off.
