We are heading down for our spring break, kids don't know yet as my DH just got his vacation request approved! I was just wondering if there were any places you can't take Pictures? Hopefully there are signs but just in case I miss something I wanted to be aware just in case! I'm mostly concerned about which rides.
We have only been to Disney and I love taking pictures/video of the kids on rides like Dumbo, slow moving rides. I know at Universal some rides make you put everything in a locker, which is fine but what about the others where you can take your camera on.

Thanks so much.
Can't wait.

You can take your camera on the slow moving outdoor rides, no problem!

You can take a pic wherever you would like, except, as you point out, rides that you cannot take a camera or phone on the ride or you have to keep everything stowed. Some places specify that you not take flash photography (mainly the shows) and some of the ride queues.

That makes sense about no flash photography. I love to take pictures so I'm happy I won't have a problem at Universal. Thanks for your help!

I would warn against taking a picture of the wife first thing in the morning before shower, makeup, etc. Just saying this from experience. . .

Except Cat in the Hat. It is a slow moving indoor ride but I've seen vlogs that they will stop the ride and make you put it away. Don't really know why they do that.

I think a year or 2 ago they changed the Cat in the Hat ride. It used to have more spinning (though it still has a few) and I could see someone easily losing their camera/phone during one of those spins.

Thanks, I'll watch out for that one!

ah yes, I heard that a well. But that wouldn't explain why they stop it now as the "spins" are very tame.

We're going for our first time to Universal next month and so excited too - DS (12) has been before with his aunt and uncle and grandparents before we joined the trip a couple years ago. His first comment when we booked this time was "the best part of this trip is that we'll have photos!". I'm huge into taking photos, but BIL/SIL and inlaws are not, so they did not have one photo of last time they went.

(btw, I saw in the photopass post that you're Canadian too - I presume your spring break is in March? Ours isn't till the first week of April - we get a week off in February too, but we found a great deal on direct flights on Westjet mid March that I coudn't pass up so are taking our DS out of school for a week which thankfully due to a Pro-D day and a class ski trip, he's only missing 4 instructional days).
