First Time going to MNSSHP

So I finally caved and purchased tickets to the party last night for Sundays, October 19, does anyone know how the crowds will be on Sundays?
It's our first time going and we will be flying home the following evening. Any tips for first timers? This will be our 3rd trip to Disney World and our first attending the party.
Also, how is the weather in October? We leave in 3 weeks, yippee!!
