I currently have a 1 bedroom villa at AKV book for August 2008. We are non-dvc members (although I hope to join in the future). Are there any difference between a non-member and a member staying in the villa? Do members get any perks that I should avoid. For example I head if you're staying in a studio, non-members have to pay to use the laundry room, but members use them free of charge. Since i'm in a 1 bedroom villa and have a laundry unit in the room, is there a charge? Any information on DVC rooms will be a god send in helping me with my planning.

Have a great holiday!

You won't have to pay for the washer/dryers in your one bedroom - but you will for the detergent & softner. If you are a guest paying cash thru Disney you will have daily maid service. If you are renting points you won't.

I've stayed both as a DVC member and renter, and for our habits, I see absolutely no difference. We had access to the fitness center, pools, transportation, etc. As a DVC member, you can receive certain discounts (i.e., APs, restaurants and certain activities) that a renter would not have available to them, but otherwise, seems the same to me!!!

Have a wonderful trip!:goodvibes
