First Time Disney Cruiser - How early can I drop off luggage at Miami port?

Hello Disney fans,

I have a 11:45 am PAT at the Miami port but was thinking of taking my kids to the Frost museum prior to the cruise (since we won't have time after). The museum does not have a baggage check and, when I called Disney, they said I could not drop off my luggage prior to my PAT. Other posters on this forum say differently, so I'm looking for the definitive answer on the absolute earliest time I can drop off my luggage at the Miami port. Much appreciated!

This isn't a direct answer, but the museum actually does have a bag check - we used it after our cruise in mid November. They have a whole room for it and it was really easy to use.
