This will be our first time using a DDP. We are going to do the Quick Service Meal Plan.

There is 2 adults and 1 little one who will be turning 3 our last day at the parks.

We are obviously going to try and stretch our credits to include as much food as possible for her, so we don't need to pay as much OOP.

My questions are (thanks in advance, BTW):

1) Are cut-up fruit cups (not just whole pieces of fruit) considered a dessert as well as a snack?
2) Can you order a 20oz. Bottle Coke as your CS beverage at the counter, or do only fountain drinks apply?
3) How do you know what is considered a "snack" at a store (like Goofy's Candy co. for example). I've seen the thread where people get non-conforming "snacks", but how do you know they will be considered a snack? Do you ask every place, or is there a sign somewhere?

Thanks all! princess:

1) Are cut-up fruit cups (not just whole pieces of fruit) considered a dessert as well as a snack? In most situations yes, an adult can choose a fruit cup as their dessert for a CS or TS if the restaurant has one available. I get it quite frequently in various forms as a non-sugar added dessert.
2) Can you order a 20oz. Bottle Coke as your CS beverage at the counter, or do only fountain drinks apply? Depends on what is available at the restaurant in question - many outside of the resorts do not have bottled sodas available. Most, though, do carry bottles of water.
3) How do you know what is considered a "snack" at a store (like Goofy's Candy co. for example). I've seen the thread where people get non-conforming "snacks", but how do you know they will be considered a snack? Do you ask every place, or is there a sign somewhere? All menu boards are marked with little purple sqare logos that show you what is covered by a snack credit on the ddp.

As for feeding your princess, keep in mind that at all-you-can-eat/buffet TS she will be allowed to eat at no charge.

Also you can bring in cereal, crackers, fruit, etc for her with nobody batting an eyelash about it. This helped a lot when we had an 19-month-old and a 4-yr-old with us in September, the baby would get little bits off of our burgers/chicken/etc, and we'd bring out grapes from the diaper bag so he'd have 'the same' as his brother (who religiously got grapes with his kids' meals).

Thanks for the heads up. We do plan on bringing some Nutrigrain bars, etc, but still hoped to suppliment with lots of fresh stuff as well.

You can also get bowls of fruit and veggies with ranch as a snack. They are nice portions, two servings at least.

As far as the drinks go, I have found that if that particular place offers 20 oz soft drinks you get it as your drink, if they have fountain, you must get a fountain drink. Most CS restaurants will only have fountain. You can use a snack credit for a 20 oz soft drink if you want. I personally don't like fountain, therefor I get a bottle of water with my meal and pay OOP for a 20oz bottle at the snack carts or use a snack credit if I have an extra to use.
