First time coming home to BCV trip report w. lots of pics!!

O'hana is our family's favorite dinner place. This summer, our server found out that my dad is from Honolulu and my DD is applying to the College program and within minutes we had extra leis, people talking to dad and in addition to the bread pudding she brought the pineapple with caramel dipping sauce which is my daughters favorite dessert. PLUS someone took my niece over to the pastry chef and she got a special Mickey cupcake.

I am doing this from work (so I don't have my camera in front of me) but I use a panasonic tizzy (dm-tz3 I think is the model) I think its already up to t a tz5 model edition.

I love it b/c it has one of the biggest zooms for a P&S, something that's comes in handy at WDW. its funny that you like the nighttime pics, for its a constant battle for me. the tizzy is actually not known for its nighttime pics (its like its one downfall) trust me, if you saw ALL of my parade pics, you would know what I mean - I think its always going to be a battle between having a camera you can pocket or dragging around a DSR camera.

hope this helps!

Do you use a tripod for your night shots? I'm still in awe over them and that you got those with a p & s! I have a high end DSLR, but I refuse to lug it around the parks because I'm afraid of damaging it, and I don't want to spend the days worrying about it.

What a great trip report, thanks so much for goin' into detail 'n your pictures are outta this world!

That is too awesome! I hope your DD gets assigned to her first choice!

Nope - no tripod, just me trying to hold my elbows in to stay still! :thumbsup2

Parks Visited: MGM
Dining: Flying Fish (dinner)

Something happened to me as the night went on Friday night as I got sick (congestion, coughing, etc.) Melissa thought maybe I got something at the water park. Ends up, I barely slept at all Friday night. Of course, did a little sickness stop me from going to MGM for early entry - NO WAY! :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao: This time, we just drove over to MGM - we started to find that it was just so much easier to do that then deal with the boats. We were on the rope line at opening, so just like Tuesday, we dashed over to toy story mania. I got fastpasses and then we rode it. We both increased our scores a bit from the last time, but in the end I still kept like a 20,000 point lead on Melissa.

From there, we headed over to RnRC, but I saw that some characters were out w/o long lines in the main plaza area, so I got some pics while Melissa did the single rider line.

Once I got my character pics over with, I ran down sunset blvd. and joined Melissa for our last aerosmith rides of the trip. We got FPs first and then did RnRC a couple times as a walk on. I then went over to the tower of terror and rode that twice (while Melissa did RnRC a couple more times in the single rider line). Eventually, we got back together, and after getting another set of FPs, we tried to find somewhere to get something to eat. We tried the bakery shop, but the line was huge, so we ended up just getting a couple sodas and snacks across from TSM. We next used our TSM fastpasses - I won again, but it was still close. We saw going in that they were giving out dream fastpasses in the exit area, but the dream makers were gone by the time we got off the ride. Our last rides of our trips always seem to be RnRC (I think b/c we are always at MGM on Saturdays for early entry). So we finished off our riding with our two sets of RnRC fastpasses and then headed back home. We grabbed turkey sandwiches from the hotel food court and then I tried to catch up on sleep, but didn’t get much in.

When nighttime came, I was still feeling sick, but we went over to Flying Fish for dinner. Melissa had the potato-wrapped snapper and I had the steak. Our plan was to go watch illuminations after dinner, but I just didn’t feel up to it, so we came back home and I tried to stay up and watch Mizzou destroy Nebraska. (I made it to like halftime).

Sunday morning was our travel day back home. We had breakfast again at cape may before loading up the rental car with all our luggage. Had some issues with out airline seats, but otherwise, made it home safe, sound and tired!

THANKS EVERYONE FOR CHECKING OUT MY TRIP REPORT!

Awesome report! YAY for Dream fast passes, we won them too on our honeymoon!

Your pictures are very nice!

Awesome report! Incredibles pics!! Wow!

Thanks for sharing. Just one thing, though. You mentioned on page 3 somewhere that you were expecting a full clean on day four of your BCV stay, You may have mentioned that you had arranged a special cleaning and I missed it, but unless you paid extra, day four is a Trash and Towel day. Day 7 is a full clean day.

Yep, that is the way it works.

TK, in all honesty, it might be a good idea. The menu has shrunken big time since the pre-DDP days. So the food isn't the greatest, then, if you get stuck in the sun room, its one of the most ear-piercing places you'll ever eat a meal. For what its worth, we were actually surprised with how much we liked our dinner at crystal palace and if not there, there are great choices off the monorail!

That's why we have cut down on Disney dining big time!!!!!!

:happytv: Wow, I have read the whole report through and I have to say that it is one of the best i have read to date. How do you remember all the details. Once we get home, it's like a blur of a week for me. Absolutely amazing, not to be forgotton, but a blur none the less. I loved all of your pics. I wish my shots came out as clear. Guess I need to remember "Tuck the elbows" :goodvibes .
