Any heads up info about DW would be appreciate.
I'd start by reading all you can on this forum. Try the STICKY on this forum about Fort FAQS. Are you planning park days or just spending time at the campground?
I am 47 years old and have camped my whole life. I have also stayed at a different Disney resort each time we have gong, as well as the campground twice. With young children it is hard, they don't realise leaving the campground to go to the park is a good thing. They will have sooooo much fun. I highly recommend the Birnbaum Guide to Walt Disney World. (I do not work for Birnbaum in any fashion) I have used this book to allow my kids to pick one or two favorites in each park so they understand that we may not be able to see it all, but everyone will get to see their favorite. It also helps you plan your route so you're not zigzagging all over the park - figure out where you want to eat and play your route. As for the campground, you will find informaiton in Birnbaum's about the Campfire sing-along with Chip/Dale or the movie under the stars. There used to be a petting zoo at the camp ground and the ferry docks there as well. I believe you can rent fishing equipment for about $10.00 an hour which should be enough time with little ones. There are a few pools and the bathrooms are the cleanest I have ever seen. If you rent a cabin housekeeping helps with that too - cleaning out your grill and emptying your dishwasher and providing fresh towels! Have a great time!!! It is one of my favorite places to stay at the parks. OH and know that peacocks are not aggressive and simply walk freely throughout the campground.
