We recently went to Disney with our 2 yo and 4 yo granddaughters, first time with little ones. A few things we learned-
1. Strollers -yay or nay? DS insisted pre-trip that we didn't need a stroller "My kids are active-they can walk!" Grandma won out, and by the end of the first day DDIL wanted to know if we could trade in the stroller for a double-stroller. Since we didn't know the answer, we kept what we had. The funny thing is that the 2 yo wanted to walk, but the 4 yo got tired and rode. Tip-put something on your stroller to identify it from afar. After "losing" our stroller the first day, I went back and tied my pink bandana on it, and had no trouble finding it. Speaking of strollers, who knows where it will be when you come out of an attraction. Although I parked directly in front of a "stroller parking" sign once, when coming out, the CM informed me I'd parked in an "illegal" location so my stroller had been moved. You never know!
2. You also never know what your toddler will/won't be afraid of. Although we took the 2 yo on Pirates of the Caribbean, where she was fine, she was petrified on Dumbo, screaming and shaking, so DS took her off. Maybe she's afraid of heights. And things change-we took her on Magic Carpets one time and she was fine, so we went back a few days later. This time she seemed so scared and screamed so Grandpa took her off to watch and wave.
3. Don't expect to do much in a park before kids get "done"-although we went to the MK 3 times, each time we only rode about 4-5 attractions before the kids were ready to go back and either nap or swim.
4. Speaking of napping, sometimes sleep schedules are totally thrown off. The first day we had a 6:00pm appointment at the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique at DTD. DGD chose that time, once she got into the chair, to fall asleep. That's when we learned that the Godmothers in Training can still do an excellent job on a sleeping child.

And the biggest thing we learned-your first trip with little ones, children or grandchildren is not just as good as you'd hoped, but better.

That is a great photo:rotfl: I cannot believe your DS was not going to take a stroller:crazy2: he owes you, BIG time.
