Hello to all,
We will be staying for a couple of nights at CC and would like to know about tips and transportation to and from the Fort. We would like to eat there or get some food to go if needed.
We will have a car, but heard that they have internal transportation between CC and the Fort.
I know that we can walk, but if needed, would like to either drive or take the internal transportation, especially if we have to wear our masks at all times with heat and humidity in August.
TIA

I stayed at Copper Creek in 2018 and was not aware of any internal transportation between Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness, unless you are talking about boat service (to which I didn’t pay attention).

I‘m not sure you can walk between Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness anymore; I thought that stopped several years ago due to construction.

Where are you planning to eat at Fort Wilderness? I think some places have not reopened yet.

You can take one of the transportation Boats over to the Fort. During “normal” operation two boats are available one heads to FW then the Contemporary and back to WL the other brings you to WDW. We also enjoy spending a down day walking around the Fort and checking in on the horses! I’m looking forward to seeing the new stables. Have fun!

Trails End is currently unavailable if you were planning on eating there. I don't think Hoop de Do is open either.

I was under the impression that they were only running the boats to and from MK

I read that they have a couple of places open, plus we would like got just walk around.

We stayed at Boulder Ridge Villas a month ago. The boat going to the Contemporary and Fort Wilderness was not in operation, and the walking path between the Lodge and the Fort was not open.

Thank you, we decided to just drive to Poly for some meals since it will only takes us a few minutes.
I wonder if we have to have reservations to park. We will probably for a CS for breakfast or lunch and will make reservations for dinner.
thank you!
our kids want to go to the Polynesian now

As far as I know, you do need dining reservations to park. We took the boat over to the MK, then the monorail to the Polynesian, so you could do that if you just wanted to go to Captain Cook's or just visit the resort! Hope you have a wonderful time!
