First time at BWV. I booked a Preferred view 2 BR. Is "Garden/Pool" a preferred view?

I had no choice but preferred. The confirmation letter states, "Garden/Pool". For some reason, that does not sound preferred to me. A view overlooking the boardwalk would be preferred? Please advise. Thanks.

Both are considered preferred view. Boardwalk view is a separate booking category of preferred view rooms. Pool/Garden is also a preferred view as well. Standard view looks out over the entrance way and parking lots near the tennis courts.

When we stayed at boardwalk we had a "pool" view. It ended up being our favorite view that we have ever had at any of the DVC resorts. It over looked the quiet pool and the canal and walkway path to MGM. Loved sitting on the balcony in the morning drinking coffee and sitting on the balcony drinking a glass of wine at night.

Standard view is the parking lot and front drive. Everything else is preferred.

Yes....and preferred can be a view of the valet parking lot.....request "pool view" on your reservation and at check-in. Good luck

Boardwalk view is a separate guaranteed view. Those pretty much get booked up very early.

We had 'garden/pool' when we stayed at BWV in August. It was great. We could see the Tower of Terror, the quiet pool and the canal. We were on the fourth floor about half way down the loooooooooong hall, very quiet.

Our preferred view looked out over the canal and had a great view of the Swan and Dolphin. Very pretty when they are lit up at night. We also had a view of a grassy area that was pretty and included a designated smoking area for DH. We were at the very end of the loooooong hallway. I don't know why it seemed so long - our home resort is SSR and the rooms are all quite a ways from the bus stop so it is probably just as much walking. If we stay there again, we'd love to get a Boardwalk view but it probably won't happen since I understand those book quickly and we can't begin to book until 7 months out.

My "please advise" - make your BWV reservations very early if you want a Boardwalk view. They are only about 20% of the resort and tend to book quickly. You can try the wait list - although my advice would be not to since people have reported problems with the wait list.

At Boardwalk, preferred view is an oxymoron as most people would prefer either standard view (saves on points) or Boardwalk View (for the obvious reasons).
