First Time at BCV . Any Advice?

Joined at OKW in 1994 and have loved every trip since then. We've gotten so used to it that it truly does feel like home.

Leaving in 6 days for BCV. We love Epcot and the Boardwalk area, but were a little hesitant about staying somewhere other than OKW.

How has everyone liked BCV? Can you see the Epcot illuminations, fireworks, etc if your room is facing the park? Any advice regarding staying at BCV?

We have only stayed at the BWV & BCV since becoming DVC Members. If you enjoy EPCOT and MGM don't be to surprised at how close and easy to get to ( especially to EPCOT from BCV) they are. Unless there is a reason to see illuminations from the resort a very very short walk will get you there.
Enjoy the area, Boardwalk is only minutes across the lake walking, its almost like being at both resorts and you mentioned you do like the Boardwalk area.

We just went to BCV for the first time last month and LOVED it! It was wonderful walking to Epcot, and so easy going 'home' after the fireworks. The pool is great! And we loved Beaches and Cream, the little '50's style diner near the pool.

For DH, the walk to Epcot was his favorite. No traffic hassle!

We also joined OKW in 1994 and have loved it. We were a bit disappointed when we stayed at BWV in 2001. You will miss the spaciousness of OKW, but the rooms are set with the typical amenities. We found CM's not so friendly as OKW. Love the proximity to Epcot and the activities on Boardwalk. We are trying BCV in JUne. OKW is still the best!
