Arrived today for our first stay at BWV. Got to the resort at 10:50, left all our bags and belongings with the bell hop, so none of the food would get ruined by staying in the heat of the van. Then it was off to Epcot. Temp is a little hot, but def bearable. Crowd level is much lower than anticipated. Got a text around 12:00, saying our room was ready. We are in room 5015, studio, boardwalk view. What an awesome view!!!

Great! There have been many reports recently, including mine in March, of rooms not being ready at the BWV until 6PM or later! Enjoy your stay and the view!:thumbsup2

we are hear for 2 nights, then we switch to standard view. Took my 2 DS's to the pool while DH slept for a couple hours- 18 hour drive straight thru from South Bend took it's toll on him- what a trooper!!! Can't wait to watch illuminations tonight from our balcony!!!
We were surprised that the text came so soon, after what we read also.

Then I'm especially glad for you that you got the room early! I can't imagine driving straight through from South Bend! The 11 hours it takes me to drive to Cape May from home is mine and DH's limit!

we didn't do online check in b/c we are switching to a standard view on Monday, so we couldn't b/c of that. It took less than 5 minutes and there was no line, so I'm not seeing any advantage of that- at least this trip.
Bobbiwoz- normally it takes 17 hours exactly- even with stopping, but it took longer b/c we stopped more times- he's just excited to get us all here!
The view of Illuminations, last night, from our balcony was priceless! Still not overly crowded, maybe today at HS will be.

oooohhh...could you post a pic of your view?:)

I'll be watching 60 Minutes right after my kids complain about what I made for dinner. :rotfl: I want to be you tonight!

Had a great day yesterday at SWW. We got to the park around 7:30, thinking to beat the mob, but there were a lot of people who knew our "secret" :lmao: They were suppose to open at 9:00 (according to the schedule), but opened unofficially at 8:00 :thumbsup2.
I'm trying to figure out how to upload pics to hear- never done it- help :confused3?

As far as I know, you have to upload to a photo sharing site like Photobucket (that's the one I use, but I know there are others.) Then you have to link to the photo in your thread.

Thanks- I'll have to try that. We are now in room 5079. Switched this morning with no issue, gave all our bags to bell services and then they brought them up when we got back. That is so worth it:thumbsup2Got the text at 12:10 saying our new room was ready. Animal Kingdom was very crowded this morning- the busiest we've ever seen it. EMH this morning was so worth it, after seeing the "normal" crowd waiting until 9:00 for opening.

Glad the transition went smoothly! Enjoy the rest of your stay!

As we were walking to our room this afternoon, 2 men were walking out. They introduced themselves as housekeeping management- dressed very nicely. They told us they were inspecting our room, then they asked us if we had any questions or issues. Then they asked us to inspect the room before they left. We looked around and everything was in great shape, had everything and the room was very clean. We were very impressed:thumbsup2
