We are trying to finalize our plans and have ran the numbers many times. After looking it over it was going to cost about the same to stay 8 nights at AKL with the Dining Plan as a 10 night Split stay with 5 nights on DDP at AKL and 5 nights OOP at Swan. Let me know if you would make any changes the 2nd half of the trip we will definitely eat differently than beginning of the trip by sharing some meals and not ordering near as much dessert. We do prefer table service meals to quick service so we know we have more of those than some people would prefer.
Day 1-Arrive at AKL. --Dinner Ohana (DDP)
Day 2- Lunch Flametree (DDP) -- Dinner Yachtman's (DDP)
Day 3- Lunch Wolfgang Express (DDP)-- Dinner Yak N Yeti (Landry's Giftcard)
Day 4- Lunch Be our Guest (DDP) -- Dinner Epcot world showcase QuickService (DDP)
Day 5- (Christmas Day) Late Breakfast Boma (OOP)- Dinner 7 or 730 PM California Grill (DDP)
Day 6- resort swap day- Lunch Beirgarten Candlelight Package (OOP)- Dinner Epcot QS (DDP)
Rest is OOP as we are out of credits and time to use them
Day 7- (Son's 10th Birthday) Late Ohana Breakfast-- Dinner HS QS or maybe Boardwalk Pizza
Day 8- Lunch Big River Brewing- Dinner Beaches and Cream
Day 9- (Daughters 16th Birthday) Breakfast/Lunch no plans sleeping in this morning-- Dinner Teppan Edo (her request)
Day 10- MK Lunch quick Service probably Casey's Corner- Dinner ESPN
Day 11- Kona Cafe Breakfast before going Home.

I am like minded. I prefer table service too!

Looks like you guys don't have any breakfasts 0f your 1st 6 days for DDP, only Lunches and Dinners. (Except day 5)
My biggest suggestion is to make sure your Lunches and dinners are spaced apart with plenty of time between reservations.

I see Ohana & Yachtsman as DDP.
Great job. Ohana oop would run you between $38-44 possibly more due to close to christmas.
Yachtsman entrees are ($34- $62) and Cali Grill ($36 - $61) pretty close...just depends on what you plan to order.
I would use the DDP for yachtsman as you are instead of Cali grill. Unless I planned on ordering a more $$ item at Cali grill.
Not counting the "Entrees for 2 ppl" or the upcharged Wagyu beef at Yachtsman

Also keep in mind that Your Christmas day meals will probably be pricer then a normal day
The only difference I do, is that I prefer to have breakfast and dinner, and snack for lunch.
I find that having a good breakfast fuels me for the 1st part of the day. (I'm a rope dropper)

Looks like you have a nice variety of meals planned. Enjoy!

Maybe I'm missing something, but I'm only counting 3 TS credits used in this time period. Do you have one mis-labled?

No will be using 2 each for Yachtman's and Cali Grill. Looks like I had marked using Cali as OOP but using dining plan for it as well.

We aren't huge breakfast eaters. Will normally just grab muffins or bagels or have some stuff in the room for breakfast aside from a couple of late special ones we want to do.
