"First rule of leadership, Princess...." ~Overdosing on Ice Cream

"For my heart is down in the chicken house
Where I long to be with my Minnie Mouse"- Minnie's Yoo Hoo

Daisy, Joey and Adam all went on Barnstormer, I did warn them it was more for little kids. Once was enough for Joey, he thought it was to tame, but Adam and Daisy enjoyed it and wanted to go again. In fact they went on it twice more.

While they were riding that Joey and I went and explored Minnie's House.

Both of us liked Minnie's House even more than Mickey's House.

I loved that there were messages on the answering machine,

there was food in the refrigerator,

and that when you pushed the button on the microwave you could hear popcorn popping.

After we came out of Minnie's House Joey ran off by himself to explore Donald's Boat. I joined Aunt Pat on a bench across from Barnstormer. Being in Toon Town we were amongst the stroller set again and I was pleasantly surprised that there were no over tired cranky children in sight. Everywhere I looked I saw relaxed happy families. Several moms and dads had sleeping little ones in strollers, but no one seemed put out by it. Just lots of parents and children looking perfectly content to be doing exactly what they were doing at that moment.

Once the kids found their way back to use we walked over to Tomorrowland. We all rode Space Mountain together, I believe we rode the left side this time. In the gift shop afterwards Daisy finally found the candy she had been looking for, sour cherry balls. So while the kids ran around to ride Space Mountain again and Aunt Pat went to get coffee, I bought her some. Then I joined Aunt Pat on a bench outside to wait for the kids.

After Space Mountain the kids went on Indy Speedway and then we started our walk out. We stopped and did some shopping in the Emporium. Adam bought a Goofy hat.

Daisy bought a Marie plushie and a pretty pink purse to carry her in.

Aunt Pat, Joey and I just enjoyed browsing. Shopping completed for the night we slowly made our way down Main Street, it was just after midnight,

and caught the bus back to CSR and our beds.

You had a perfect ending to the party!:thumbsup2 I love the goofy hat!

Great chapter.... I love when older kids love barnstormer hehe... It's quick and tame but pretty fun too... Forest loves riding it too but he's a thrill ride junkie so he'd much rather RnR lol

Adam was just telling me tonight on the way to gymnastics that RnR is his favorite ride of all time!

what a great way to end you night, seems like you all had a fantastic time.. would you say it was money well spent on the tickets????

My eldest ds was tall enough to go on the barnstormer last yr and loved it think we went on it about 6 time in a row, luckily no queue. They then gave him a little certificate celebratin his first ride on a rollacoaster!!

Lol at the Goofy hat, these things always seem like a good idea to buy at the time but never seem to mke it back out of the hotel room!!

That kid is such a goof. He's the same kid who insisted on buying the big white Mickey hands on our first trip to Disneyland.

That night by the way, was the only time he has worn that hat. :lmao:

My youngest over the years has bought the big yellow slippers (twice), the gloves, and the big sorcerer Mickey hat - we finally put it all together one year with a leftover devil costume (a long red robe) and he was Sorcerer Markie for Halloween. Goofy wears white gloves too, so maybe you can put together a Goofy costume sometime. My oldest also "had" to have a leather Indiana Jones hat one year and swore he would wear it when we got home (suuure you will!) It became his signature costume - he would go down to the church on Halloween to help out down there and wear his Indy hat, a white dress shirt and dark khakis. One year he mixed it up a little bit by going as a Disney cast-member. He wore his pin lanyard, his name tag, a Disney-Hawaiian shirt, and a safari Mickey hat (a straw hat with ears). We typically have very Disney Halloweens around here - and Christmases - usually our tree is covered in nothing but Disney ornaments - with a few "special" ones thrown in here and there (one sone has some Cubs ornaments, another has wrestlers, the 3rd has music ones, and gifts from teachers.....) but its overwhelmingly Disney.

Great update!
Minnie's house looks cute!
Love the Goofy hat!
Marie is adorable, my DD bought one too.
Sounds like a great night at the party!

Hello! I somehow mangaged to read your entire trippie today! It is just wonderful! You have a beautiful family and a wonderful writing style! Love all of the pics too! I must say that I followed the link to the Crush and Gusher installment and I have never laughed so hard in my life. Seriously I couldnt catch my breath. So funny :lmao: I am really amazed at the lack of lines and people. What a great time to go to Disney!

Yes stuffed animals and weird hats seem like a great idea when you are in the Disney parks. :cutie:
