"First rule of leadership, Princess...." ~Overdosing on Ice Cream

Take aunt Pat to Jcpenney.com. They have furniture on line! She can shop and save a trip to the store if she doesn't like anything. Penney's has nice stuff. :lovestruc

I have a red (toile) couch and love it. Actually I love all things red. :rolleyes1 But the black & white is sassy too. IKEA opened here about 6 months ago and after driving by and seeing the police directing traffic to park in a field, I passed on trying to get in. I did read they have a good cafe inside in case lost people need sustenance to find the way out. popcorn::

Their cinnamon rolls are the absolute best! You just follow your nose to find them in the cafe!

We didn't even go in the cafe. I did buy swedish fish, which I forgot to take a picture of. Of course I forgot to give them to the kids and David so I could still take a picture of them.:lmao:

Next time you will know to stop and get some cinnamon rolls!

You could always keep the Swedish Fish for yourself!

with my size you would think I would like all candy but swedish fish is not for me.
just dropping in to say hi.

It was now time to start thinking about lunch. We all walked back and found Aunt Pat sitting and reading. The kids went to try out the wave pool while David and I went to get food. Aunt Pat had scoped out the food choices and decided that where we should get lunch from was not the counter service place closest to us, but the one on the opposite side of the park.

David and I walked back to the lockers and then over to get food. Now the whole park was not crowded at all, and there were not that many people at the counter service place, yet it was painfully slow! The plan had been to take the food back over to where Aunt Pat had been and eat there, but after getting the food that didn't seem like such a good idea. We picked out a table in the seating area and David went back to get the kids and Aunt Pat. This way we had a table to sit at and we were close to the condiments and such.

We ate our lunch, just burgers and fries, and the kids told us about the wave pool. They liked it even though the bottom hurt their feet. Joey loved being at the top of the wave, and Adam kept trying to swim under the big wave and getting pushed back.

After lunch we all moved over to the seating area by Crush N Gusher and the adults laid out and relaxed while the kids went on the ride some more.

I really liked that area, lots of chairs in the sand, a bathroom close by and a snack kiosk right there. Plus there was a small swimming area.

The kids came back after awhile and said they wanted to go on Humounga Kowabunga one more time before we left, so they raced off to do the Kowabunga Wedgie Machine together. When they returned we packed up, got some ice cream, and made our way to the bus stop.

At the bus stop Adam and Joey were freezing, since they were soaking wet and there was a bit of a breeze. I had packed our clothes for dinner, not knowing how long we would choose to stay at Typhoon Lagoon, in case we needed to go straight to dinner from there. I pulled out each boy's ziplock bag with their outfit in it and had them change behind the bench at the bus stop. There was not a single other person besides our family around so no worries that anyone got flashed or anything.

Tonight's clothing colors were orange, blue, and white. Adam had blue cargo shorts and an orange polo shirt with blue trim. Joey's shorts were a blue, orange and white patchwork print, and he wore a blue and orange rugby style t-shirt. The wet swimsuits and rash guard shirts got placed in the now empty ziplock bags and put in the backpack just as the bus arrived.

Once back at CSR the kids read their dinner invitation, and everyone except the boys showered and got ready for dinner.

Daisy wore orange, blue and white plaid shorts, a blue cami and an orange henley. I had on blue capris, an orange and white stripe tank top, and white polo shirt. Aunt Pat wore denim capris and a blue and grey striped knit top. David did not match us that night, but I'm going to guess that he wore a black motocross t-shirt and cargo shorts. We relaxed and watched tv for a bit before heading back to the bus stop.

We were going to dinner at Garden Grove located at The Swan, so we took the bus to Blizzard Beach and then caught the bus for The Swan from there. We were quite early for our 6pm dinner adr, since it took less than a half an hour to get from CSR to The Swan.

The Boardwalk looked inviting so we walked over there to explore a bit.

What a fun area! I think both Aunt Pat and I had a bit of "I wish we had kept our original reservations here." thinking as we looked at the Boardwalk Inn balconies.

The kids of course were drawn to the candy store like moths to a flame,

and Adam was soon filling a large tube with different colored layers of flavored sugar.

A few other treats were purchased including some fudge and what turned out to be a very yummy macadamia nut cluster.

Exploring another shop the boys found some hats to try on,

and I purchased a Minnie coffee mug. Not for me, I'm not that in to Minnie, but one of the teachers I work with had given me money to replace her Minnie mug she had broken. I was glad to get that mission take care of early in our trip. I also bought a box of donuts for breakfast the next day.

We thought about taking a boat across the water, but we just missed one and didn't feel like waiting, so we decided to just walk back around to The Swan.

the Boardwalk is a great area to stay.

That Seashore Sweets is very dangerous.

Your day other than the Wedgie sounds great....

UHHHHHH.... where's joey?? I see a foot..... but no joey:confused3 :rotfl2:

Seriously.... great chapter!!! What was the CS place's name... just in case we decide to eat at the waterparks hehe...

I hate it when DH"s don't wanna match the rest of us

I hope that when I'm a mom with kiddos at Disney, I am as organized as you are with the clothes in the Ziploc bags and all!

Can't wait to hear about your dinner at the Swan...I don't know if I've ever read about anyone going there before.

:rotfl: I never noticed Joey's foot in that picture, I thought just Daisy and Adam went together that time. Thanks for pointing it out!

I think it was the Leaning Palms, but I'm not sure.

I figured as long as I could keep him from clashing with us I was doing good.

I think there might be a reason for that! ;)

Aunt Pat said to add that the food at lunch at Typhoon Lagoon was really, really bad! "Practically inedible." is what she called it. Which now that I think about it I remember.
