"First rule of leadership, Princess...." ~Overdosing on Ice Cream

I absolutely love the waterparks at Disney. We dont really have anything like that around where I live, unless you wanna drive 2 hrs away to get there. DF and I always make it a point to visit both when we visit the world.

As for the lazy river.... it is right up my alley! I love just lounging around and soaking up some sun. The only thing that could make it better would be if they allowed a delicious cocktail in my right hand as the slow current brings me around the park. (Innertubes can be tricky)

“Have you ever gotten the feeling that you aren't completely embarassed yet, but you glimpse tomorrow's embarrassment?” -Jerry Maguire

After her test run on the slide at CSR the day before Aunt Pat opted to just watch near the bottom of the slides. I on the other hand, feeling it was in the spirit of family togetherness, made the unfortunate decision to head up the steep slope with David and the kids to the top of Humonga Kowabunga.

Climbing up to the top of Humonga Kowabunga I didn't think to much about it, it was just a slide after all. By the time David and I got to the top the kids were already going down. David chose the middle slide, I chose the one on the right. David started down before me, then I got the signal to go.

I pushed off, laid back, and I was zipping along. This slide was fast! I don't recall to much of what happened as I whizzed downward, all I know is at some point the top of my tankini was blown up towards my face leaving me practically naked. That was not even the worst part though.

The final sloping descent caused the other half of my suit to form the most ultimate of wedgies. Not only that but it also felt as though I had been empaled on a large water spike and half my guts had been ripped out through my bottom. I came to a halt towards the end of the slide area in what I'm sure is the most unattractive and exposed state that I could think of. Plus, it was in public!

I quickly snatched the top of my suit down to regain a slight amount of dignity. But there was just no way to remove a giant wedgie while laying at the bottom end of a water slide, and worrying the next person flying down the slide was going to land on you. I had to stand up. I can only hope and pray that I never ever meet the lifeguard who witnessed my exit from Humunga Kowabunga.

***Thankfully there is no pictorial evidence of this incident!***

I'll throw in another amazing game... "Rock"

Who can be the best rock?

Rocks are quiet.

Rocks don't move.

As a former camp counselor, this game was a lifesaver.

(Until some smarty pants kid yelled "ROCK SLIDE" and a whole group of kids went rolling underneath the church pews. :rotfl: )

As for your TR... you have my empathy when it comes to entering an innertube anything but gracefully on a lazy river. Can it really be done???

I just change my Disney desktop background each day at school and think serene Disney thoughts. :goodvibes :rotfl:
:goodvibes Good plan!

:thumbsup2 That would totally make it better!

Not by me.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I'm sorry, but that was hilarious!::

I'm betting it's not like s/he's never seen this stuff before ;) I wonder if they get paid extra, like hazard duty pay, for what they have to witness at the bottom of that slide?

I, on the other hand, have never tried the aforementioned slide. I'm too :scared1:

that was the laugh of the night. now u caused me to wake Biff and get yelled at. but who cares it was worth it. Oh I wish there were pics. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Oh no! I'm sorry this happened to you...but I too am laughing! :lmao: I've sooooo been there before-not at Disney, but at another water park that gave me Humonga Wedgie!

Oh no!

That is hilarious! :lmao:

That has definitely happened to me a time or two on water slides. I don't even want to think about who has seen what parts of me!

I HATE trying to get into those lazy river inner tubes while trying to keep my swimsuit in a family-friendly position!

Therefore, i avoid the lazy river.

A who can walk the slowest contest! :lmao:

This reminded me of my hooty hoist into one of those inner tubes.........water had to have been in 60s (I called the park before going and they said it was in 80s:sad2:  ) DH and I were laughing so hard trying to get me into one of those tubes and lifeguards are staring at us while wearing parkas........it was cold. They were probably thinking.....dumb Canadians:rolleyes1

Yeay! Typhoon Lagoon!

I am storing away the "who can walk the slowest" game for moments when we might need it! :thumbsup2

The Lazy River was not what I envisioned either -- getting into the inner tube was very awkward for me, too. Not one of my more graceful moments!

The pictures are great! Can't wait to see the Photopass ones!

I thought I was the only one who can't just gracefully hop into one of those tubes and float effortlessly along. I have to stand on the steps, haul the tube up to my butt, and flop down quickly before it floats away. My first few efforts should have been on AFV, I'm sure. :rotfl2:

I am so glad to learn I am not alone in feeling awkward when getting on an inner tube.
