"First rule of leadership, Princess...." ~Overdosing on Ice Cream

Just curious, is the inside of the School Bread anything like a donut, an eclair-type pastry, or is it more of a bread consistency?

(I'm a dork, I've been wondering that for awhile...) :rotfl:

It's like a bavarian cream donut with coconut on it.

I love the school bread! Yummy!

That's funny that you spotted the little troll! I'm going to see if I can see it in any of my pics!:thumbsup2

I just finished catching up on your trip report. It sounds like you had a fantastic trip. I'm really enjoying reading about your trip. Your pictures are great. I'm ready for more, since I'm not going back until next year, I need to visit through others.:)

Let me know if you find him! ;)

Grey Goose slushy = :cloud9: but the swirl margarita in Mexico comes in a close second!

What flavor is the swirl margarita?

:goodvibes Thanks. I totally understand about visiting through others. We won't get back to Disney World until 2010 at the earliest.

I'd love to see world showcase empty like that!! I love the pastries they have in France, they are absolutely my favorite thing at epcot!

And the best thing about being on vacation is you don't have to choose!! ;)

2010??? That's a long time for a trip report addict to be in withdrawal. And I am addicted to your report. You've done such a great job with it! I especially like the quotes you have at the beginning of each installment -- very creative! But just saw in your signature that you have a pre trip report going for Disneyland. That'll keep me going for a while...

:lmao: That's good.

Michelle,
It's just my yougest DD and myself going back in 2009 and she's picked the second week of December, so I have wait until the end of the year. She'll be turning 13 on the 31 of December that year so I'm pretty sure that's why she picked then. Still seems like a long time away, so I need to read about other peoples trips. I know it's really sad. If I'm not careful it could become an obession and I'm pretty sure that would be bad. But 2010 seems even longer.

2010??? Michelle, please say it isn't so!

I love your writing style and I'm going to be so sad when this one is over. :confused3

I guess I will just have to read your Disneyland report to tide me over... :goodvibes

Well we will be going to Disneyland for Daisy's 13th birthday in December 08, and then Joey turns 13 in February 2010, so hopefully we can go to Disney World for that. That's MY plan anyway.

"Ask her who she is, and what she's doing here!" - Snow White

We finished up our tastes of France and then explored Morocco, I loved the tile work there.

Also in Morocco I spotted the fountain that I had been searching for. I had been saving a particular pose to ask David and the boys to do because after seeing it in someone else's trip report I knew David would think it was funny. Which he did and he and the boys happily complied with my request.

Then we were on to Japan. On the walk from Morocco to Japan I spotted another hidden Mickey.

IMG_6371.jpg

In Japan it was time to find sushi, since Joey was still insisting he wanted to try it. First the kids found some Japanese candy to try.

IMG_6374.jpg

Then David, Adam and I sat outside on a wall while Aunt Pat, Daisy and Joey went to Yakitori House to see if they had sushi. It was up a lot of stairs and I was not feeling that at all. They came back with a tray of Sushi Tokyo Rolls.

Daisy, Joey and I all tried them and we all three pronounced them to fishy for us.

We moved on to America, where I insisted we go to the American Adventure.

IMG_6376.jpg

Daisy predicted it would be "lame" but we went anyway. I enjoyed it and Joey declared it "cool." After the show Aunt Pat and Daisy backtracked to Japan to look for Daisy's sunglasses. David, Joey, Adam and I located the restrooms at the back of the American Adventure building. Daisy found her sunglasses quickly and we all met up in front of American Adventure in a very short amount of time.

The next stop was actually a DVC counter. I scheduled an appointment for David and I to do a DVC tour the next day. Then we moved on to Italy.

IMG_6385.jpg

Since Joey had fallen in love with gelato at Tony's Town Square he insisted that when we came up on a gelato cart that we get some. So everyone but me decided they wanted gelato and Aunt Pat went to get it.

She ordered 3 vanilla and 2 lemon gelatos and the CM put on the counter 3 bright yellow and 2 pale white gelatos. The following conversation occurred-

Aunt Pat "I wanted 3 vanilla and 2 lemon."

CM "Yes."

Aunt Pat "But this is 3 lemon."

CM "No."

Aunt Pat "I need 3 vanilla."

CM "Yes."

This is when I finally interrupted and tried to tell Aunt Pat that the bright yellow was the vanilla and the pale white was the lemon, but she couldn't quite wrap her brain around it. So I had her just walk away because I felt like it was the gelato version of "Who's on First."

IMG_6389.jpg

Instead of gelato I chose another adult beverage. It was peach flavored, something with champagne I think, but I don't remember what it was called.

IMG_6386.jpg

It was good and I enjoyed it as much as everyone else enjoyed their gelato. We hung out awhile by the Snow White and Seven Drawfs.

IMG_6392.jpg

We wandered through Germany next. In a sweet shop Adam and Daisy found some candy to try and I bough a gingerbread man for later.

IMG_6397.jpg

David and Joey got ginormous pretzels.

IMG_6398.jpg

In Germany over by the beer and pretzels was the only place that felt crowded all day so we didn't stay long. On the walk from Germany to China we saw Snow White and Dopey, but the kids didn't want to stop for pictures.

China was our last stop on our loop around World Showcase and we only went into the garden part.

IMG_6400.jpg

My feet were hurting a lot at that point and I just wanted to sit down, so I couldn't bring myself to walk through any of the buildings. I thought the animals in the garden were really cute though, I especially liked the monkey.

IMG_6401.jpg

Daisy and I decided to try the frozen teas at the Tea Stand.

IMG_6403.jpg

I got Peach Oolong Tea Schnapps Slush and Daisy got the non alcoholic Strawberry Oolong Tea Slush.

IMG_6404.jpg

I also got some ginger ice cream for Joey to try.

IMG_6406.jpg

I wish I hadn't been so full because the ginger ice cream was really good! The frozen tea was alright but I drank it more for the pain numbing aspects of the alcohol than for anything else. The kids were busy exploring a toy kiosk so I found a bench close to it and watched them try out some different things.

IMG_6415.jpg

They played there awhile and then each of them found something to buy. Our only non food purchases in World Showcase. Daisy bought a chinese symbol necklace and Joey and Adam both picked out some sort of stick trick toy. After they made their purchases we were ready to head back into Future World to use our Fast Passes.
