"First rule of leadership, Princess...." ~Overdosing on Ice Cream

I hope that when I'm a mom with kiddos at Disney, I am as organized as you are with the clothes in the Ziploc bags and all!

Can't wait to hear about your dinner at the Swan...I don't know if I've ever read about anyone going there before.

I don't think I've heard anyone either....

I think there might be a reason for that! ;)

Given our experience that doesn't surprise me.

OOOOOOOO! Dramatic foreshadowing...I love it. But doesn't seem like its gonna be good eatin'.

Sounds like this was a great day. (sans wedgie, of course)
I loved walking the Boardwald area and hope to stay there some time.

The kids came back after awhile and said they wanted to go on Humounga Kowabunga one more time before we left, so they raced off to do the Kowabunga Wedgie Machine together.

And you decided to pass up another opportunity on this ride??? :confused3 Hmmmm... I wonder why!;)

The Boardwalk area is wonderful! As for good eatin.

DH and I stayed at the Boardwalk on our last trip. While we loved the hotel and the area...we thought their cooling system was very bad. It hardly ever cooled off in our room and we never thought to ask if it was just our room. We never complained to the front desk...never thought of it. The buses to Animal Kingdom bothered me too...we shared a bus to AKL with the Swan & Doplhin and the Yacht & Beach Club...those were some crowded buses. But other than those problems great place to stay and I would stay there again...though DH would like to try out the Beach Club....me personally would like to stay at Wilderness Lodge...looks soo cool to me.
Guess I better get savings...I've got a couple of years so thats a good thing for me!

:lmao: She's 12 she already knows everything so of course she does.

:lmao: Yep, I think that 12-13 was when I knew the most in my entire life. Then I started realizing how much I didn't know...the older I get, the more I don't know...

(I'm still way behind and catching up on your TR...)

Woo-Hoo!! An update!! Isn't it wonderful when your kids are finally old enough to run around the waterpark together and you don't have to worry about and/or follow them around? Kinda makes up for the sad fact that they are growing up. The Boardwalk/Beach/Yacht area is my very favorite part of all of WDW. Food at the Swan/Dolphin - not so much. But food at the rest of the Boardwalk area? Yes, please! Pizza at Spoodles take-out window, Boardwalk Bakery (that's where you should have gotten the next am breakfast ;) ), ice cream at Beaches & Cream, dinner at Cape May Cafe, etc etc etc. Plus the location of the Boardwalk/Beach/Yacht is just too fabulous. I agree with k_reile about the buses, but the pools make up for that. Gosh, maybe Disney should hire me to do PR, hu? :scratchin

Anyway, (ramble, ramble - can you tell I'm bored today?) thanks for the update. Waiting for the next one popcorn::

*I swear it's less confusing layed out on the itinerary pages I made!*

Ok So I started reading your report from the middle so today I figured that I would start at the begining. You Itinerary pages are AMAZING:worship: . MY FAMILY THOUGHT I WAS NUTS BECAUSE I HAD A EXCEL PAGE WITH ALL OF THE PARADES AND FIREWORKS AND ADR'S ON IT AND WHAT PARK WE WERE GOING TO THAT DAY! I need to show my DM you pages. As for matching clothes I do it to. We didn't match by color but by theme. On Xmas day it was pirate day we all had some type of pirate shirt on.That was the day that we got to see Jack sparrow!!! WOW is all I can say about him. :lovestruc
Even on non disney days I tend to match the boys in identical shirts because it is easier to find them. They are 5 & 7 so they still for it they think its cool!

wow this report is awsome my mom is a disney commado with no plans to go into rehab any time soon

though DH would like to try out the Beach Club....me personally would like to stay at Wilderness Lodge...looks soo cool to me.

The kids and I want to stay at Beach Club next time. We live in the Pacific Northwest so Wilderness Lodge is not a big draw for us. It looks to familiar.

Yes I love the ages they are now, and how independent they can be, but I loved when they were all preschoolers too.

:lovestruc Thank you!

Another great update!
I give you mad KUDOs for your organizational skills :thumbsup2

Thanks! :goodvibes

:lmao:

I love how your outfits are coordinated.

And the Boardwalk looks beautiful.

Who can resist sweets in Disney? I love their fudge.

:goodvibes So get busy reading! jk

Lol - finally caught up! :thumbsup2

Oh, yeah - I like Ikea, too, but only on a weekday. Too crowded on weekends, and I haven't had a chance to get out there in a while. Which is probably just as well - I have a hard time getting out of there without picking up a few things I hadn't planned on...

We never did get to the Boardwalk at all - maybe next time...

"A sea Monkey has my money," - Finding Nemo

Oh, how I love Dory :lmao:

This way we had a table to sit at and we were close to the condiments and such.

Smart woman :thumbsup2

After lunch we all moved over to the seating area by Crush N Gusher and the adults laid out and relaxed while the kids went on the ride some more.

I wonder how many years it will be before I can relax enough to let our boys go on water rides while we hang out :confused3

At the bus stop Adam and Joey were freezing, since they were soaking wet and there was a bit of a breeze. I had packed our clothes for dinner, not knowing how long we would choose to stay at Typhoon Lagoon, in case we needed to go straight to dinner from there. I pulled out each boy's ziplock bag with their outfit in it and had them change behind the bench at the bus stop. There was not a single other person besides our family around so no worries that anyone got flashed or anything.

You are seriously brilliant with the organization. Seriously.

Tonight's clothing colors were orange, blue, and white. Adam had blue cargo shorts and an orange polo shirt with blue trim. Joey's shorts were a blue, orange and white patchwork print, and he wore a blue and orange rugby style t-shirt. The wet swimsuits and rash guard shirts got placed in the now empty ziplock bags and put in the backpack just as the bus arrived.

:worship:

Once back at CSR the kids read their dinner invitation, and everyone except the boys showered and got ready for dinner.

Again, I'm :worship:! Is there any possible way you could post your incredible itinerary and accoutrements? Please?! :flower3:

Daisy wore orange, blue and white plaid shorts, a blue cami and an orange henley. I had on blue capris, an orange and white stripe tank top, and white polo shirt. Aunt Pat wore denim capris and a blue and grey striped knit top. David did not match us that night, but I'm going to guess that he wore a black motocross t-shirt and cargo shorts. We relaxed and watched tv for a bit before heading back to the bus stop.

My dh will also be "that guy" who will purposely NOT be matching us :sad2:

The kids of course were drawn to the candy store like moths to a flame,

IMG_5824.jpg

Great picture!

and Adam was soon filling a large tube with different colored layers of flavored sugar.

IMG_5823.jpg

Oooh, make-your-own pixie stix :goodvibes

Exploring another shop the boys found some hats to try on,

Handsome lads you have there pirate:

Great update :3dglasses

This looks like fun:banana:
I would love to be a kid again, just for one day:cloud9:
I never noticed the one foot either:lmao: Did you ask him where he got to?:rotfl2:

He had dropped through the bottom. Apparently then Adam would hope off and Daisy would be flipped over. I got the full details last night. :rotfl:

I love how your outfits are coordinated.

And the Boardwalk looks beautiful.

Who can resist sweets in Disney? I love their fudge.

Honestly I'm loving how the pictures turned out with their coordinating outfits. The Boardwalk is beautiful, and I for one can not resist sweets at Disney. Aunt Pat got the fudge.

We never did get to the Boardwalk at all - maybe next time...

There is always something for next time! :goodvibes

I wonder how many years it will be before I can relax enough to let our boys go on water rides while we hang out :confused3

Probably about 4 years.

You are seriously brilliant with the organization. Seriously.

The itinerary is in one of the posts, actually probably several posts. Do you want a condensed version? The character meal invitations and such I got from the Creative DisBoard.

My dh will also be "that guy" who will purposely NOT be matching us :sad2:

He didn't purposely not match us thank goodness! He usually only wears black or white t-shirts so I figured no matter what he would clash with us.

Handsome lads you have there pirate:

Great update :3dglasses
