"First rule of leadership, Princess...." ~Overdosing on Ice Cream

Thanks. Which character breakfast at DL did you find Daisy?

It was the one at the Paradise Pier resort. We actually asked a CM where we could find her and the CM suggested the character breakfast. Apparently Daisy is hard to find.

Once inside the little shop in Africa I immediately found t-shirts for the boys. They said Adventure Seeker on the front and listed on the back the 4 thrill rides in the park- Everest, Dinosaur, Kali, and Safari. I picked out a blue on for Joey and a green one for Adam. I almost got a brown one for David but I wasn't sure he would wear it. I looked around for a shirt for Daisy but wasn't really seeing anything I thought she would like, when she came over with a very pretty necklace. So I told her I'd get the necklace for her. She bought some rings for her friends back home. Aunt Pat found the cutest stuffed tiger that she said had to come home with her. She carried it around the store until she thought of someone to buy it for. The tiger is now awaiting the arrival of my new nephew due the end of May. Joey and Adam spent most of the time trying to get me to touch fake snakes.

That shop in Africa is one of my favorites in all of WDW! That necklace Daisy is wearing is great!

Now here is where my obsession with time and staying on schedule wigged me out a bit. After meeting back up with us David then decided he needed to find a bathroom. I swear he does stuff like this to bug me! If he had found a bathroom on his way back from Dinosaur and gone then, I never would have been the wiser and I wouldn't have felt like he was disturbing my schedule. Here I am all set for us to go on the Safari and he has to go to the bathroom.

I was annoyed and knew I was being ridiculous to be so annoyed, which served to further irritate me at my own ridiculousness. I was about to lose it, all because the man had to use the bathroom. Aunt Pat talked me back from the ledge.

I know this feeling only too well! :scared:

"Daddy!" Adam cried and ran and jumped on him. That's Adam's standard greeting for David rather he's been gone 2 minutes or 2 weeks.

:rotfl2:

Giraffes are my favorite.

Mine too:goodvibes

Love your safari pics.

Giraffes are my fav too
 Giraffes! I wish I could have gotten some closer shots, but I hadn't figured out the zoom button on my camera yet.

Great update. Can you post a pic of the shirt you got for the boys?

Yes. I was going to last night, but Joey's was in the wash. I will later today.

I know this feeling only too well! :scared:

I told you we are twins. :rotfl:

Adam is a little obsessed with his dad.

Oh I can totally relate with this. Every time we travel, I always have our schedule all planned out. Inevitably, DH gets this little thing we like to call "travel booty". It's the thing where he has to seek out a bathroom at the most inopportune times. I must remember this when planning for our WDW trip. I will build in an extra 15 minutes at every turn, including airports. You don't know how many times I've boarded planes without him, just wondering if he's going to make it onboard in time...

I love this picture too. Love Daisy's necklace. And I don't think I responded when you posted the pic and asked what I thought - I think that's the cutest outfit. So age-appropriate!

Off we went to use our Fast Passes for the Safari. We ended up in the second and third row of the jeep. Our driver was difficult to understand, but we gathered something about heading out on a two week safari?
At least it wasn't a "three hour tour"... Not sure where you would have ended up then.

Thanks for sharing the safari pictures. I can't believe I remember NOTHING about that safari, except being in the little jeep car thing. I think when we went, AK had only been open for a couple of weeks and maybe there weren't any animals? :confused3

great update and pics.

I thought I said before u left to relax and enjoy and take it all in. :sad2: my advice went out the window I see. :rotfl2:

The safari pics look really nice. :thumbsup2

To get caught up----

I'm so glad the diver at CR worked out. That's phenomenal that your TA took care of the personalized menu. They rock (as my students would say :goodvibes ).

Did Daisy have trouble eating the crab legs? I had the conversation before on my PTR that I'd be afraid to order them out of fear of flinging one across the room!

I agree that the Tree of Life is underwhelming. The carvings are beautiful, and I know it took forever to complete, but it seems like it should be taller, right?

That Aunt Pat cracks me up. I love how she had to carry everyone's wet ponchos in her backpack. I wish I had an Aunt Pat!

I just love the color of the floor you're laying. Please post more pics as it becomes complete. Beautiful!

Tusker House sounds great. I keep hearing about that juice.
We have never met Dasiy Duck. Will definately have to go there sometime.

Sorry David through off your schedule:lmao:
I would have been annoyed too.
but that pic you took waiting is really cute!
I really like the necklace.

Nice safari pictures!

I love any update that has a visit to the restroom in it....:rolleyes1

I'll have to ask David how many flushes it rated. :rotfl:

He said it rated 2 flushes.

I thought I said before u left to relax and enjoy and take it all in. :sad2: my advice went out the window I see. :rotfl2:
:lmao: I tried I really, really did!

Yes that did rock! :lmao:

I don't recall her having trouble eating them. I'll ask her though tomorrow. She's at her Grandparents right now.

Yes I just expected it to be a larger than life tree. It is gorgeous though.

That Aunt Pat cracks me up. I love how she had to carry everyone's wet ponchos in her backpack. I wish I had an Aunt Pat!

I know, I kept telling her not to take the bag, and then we would all put our stuff in it. :rotfl: Everyone should have an Aunt Pat!

I'll take more pictures tomorrow. It is turning out really fantastic!

I felt like I couldn't be to demanding since he had just walked all the way across the park and back to get the Dinosaur Fast Passes. So leaving him behind right then wasn't an option. :lmao:

Next time, I'm sure you'll get closer shots.

I just want to touch them. They're such beautiful animals!

I love how they move!
