"First rule of leadership, Princess...." ~Overdosing on Ice Cream

"Ask her who she is, and what she's doing here!" - Snow White

Also in Morocco I spotted the fountain that I had been searching for. I had been saving a particular pose to ask David and the boys to do because after seeing it in someone else's trip report I knew David would think it was funny. Which he did and he and the boys happily complied with my request.

Still catching up on your TR but loving it all the way!

I love that Daisy sat at a different table in France to read... and I love, love, love that they ate cake out of the box for breakfast.

I am a huge fan of Thrifty Ice Cream (can't get it up here) so we bought 1/2 gallon of mint chip and 1/2 gallon of double chocolate malted fudge and ate it for breakfast (sometimes with a banana!) for 3-4 days over xmas vacation to So cal last year!

I am so far behind... somehow missed your cruise reveal until tonight. Oops.

That sounds so awesome!! What a great surprise!

I've also been known to read while cooking, vacuuming & and I can scrub the toilet while reading too!;)

I put the Love Boat theme on my phone for DH's calls when we were planning our DCL cruise for our 25th - I still have it there! It brings back memories every time the phone rings.

I love it! Maybe I can figure out how to do that to DH's phone since he's the practical one who says we can't go on another cruise yet! Of course he had a wonderful time... :rolleyes1

That is too cute with Daisy reading while cooking dinner!!!

I love the mickey bowls!!!

The problem with that is I don't want to tell the kids about it yet. I think I'll have them do the "Love Boat" idea for a dinner warm up before we go.

Good idea! That will be really fun.

Love the pics of Daisy reading. :rotfl: And the Mickey bowls are very cute!

Maybe you could put the Love Boat theme song on your DH's phone to ring when you call and see if he picks up on it.....

While scrubbing the toilet? :confused3

Why does he say no more cruises?

The mickey bowls are great for ice cream.

If I could figure out how to do that I would.

"There's far too much to take in here
More to find than can ever be found
But the sun rolling high
Through the sapphire sky
Keeps the great and small on the endless round" -The Lion King

We walked from Africa over to Dinoland next and David took the kids on Dinosaur while I ran over and got Fast Passes for Expedition Everest. I think I could make that trek past the Nemo theater and over the bridge in my sleep. Aunt Pat did some shopping while she waited for us and we all met up by Primeval Whirl. The kids took another ride on Primeval Whirl, but David opted not to join them this time remembering how rough it was.

Next on the itinerary was Kali River Ride. As we were leaving Dinoland Adam realized that he had left his sunglasses on Primeval Whirl. Now for some stupid reason we, mostly me, decided to not go back and get them but to just purchase him some new ones later. I think I was having one of my "we have to stay on schedule" commando moments.

There was no line for Kali and we walked right on. I don't know what the rest of them were thinking, but I was the only one who donned a poncho this time around. When the raft docked the CM offered to let us just stay on. The rest of my family did just that, I got off so I could try to get some pictures.

The second time around they all got soaked!

Unfortunately for them where we were headed next was all in the shade.

Seeing pictures on line convinced me that I had to see The Festival of the Lion King so I lead everyone over to Camp Minnie Mickey and we got in line for the show. While we were waiting my parents called, apparently we hadn't been checking in enough, so the kids had a nice distraction chatting to their grandparents while we waited.

We ended up in the Warthog section, which was fun. The Festival of the Lion King is an amazing show! The dancing, the singing, the acrobatics, the costumes, it's all just bright, colorful, energetic and just magical!

I wish we had been able to see it more than once. If there is ever a Disney Tour that goes backstage of FOTLK it will be at the top of my TO DO list! We all left the theater happy and deeply impressed with Disney's shows.

Ohh, great update! I can't wait to see FOTLK. I'm hoping I don't have to many of those "we have to stay on schedule" commando moments. I tend to lean that way, if I don't watch it...

I tried really hard to avoid those commando moments, but they snuck up on me. I'm a recovering commando in progress! ;)

FOTL was my favorite thing at AK, and maybe my favorite show at Disney! Hope your crew dried out and warmed up.

:rotfl: I am chuckling in appreciation of your commando moment! I have been known to have those in the past. It's the whole "THERE WILL BE NO TURNING BACK!!!"

I love your pictures from FOTLK! Mine didn't turn out too well. But I agree--it's one of the best shows at Disney! :goodvibes

I'm glad your poncho kept you dry. If I ever go back to WDW with Nevi, I will use you as proof that it is possible to stay dry on Kali River Rapids! :rotfl:

Oh, how I love FOTLK. It's just gorgeous to watch. :goodvibes

I will keep you in mind when I am experincing my very own Commando moment 17 days from now. :lmao:

FOTLK is the best, isn't it? I always get chills at the Circle of Life song. I just didn't get chills at the Nemo show, just sleepy!

You must have forgotten that sunglasses at Disney cost a kidney and your first born!;)

They did eventually.

Exactly! For some reason it was like the few minutes of back tracking would kill my schedule, which it wouldn't have.

Most of my pictures didn't turn out well! I really wish I had gotten some good ones of the monkeys but I didn't.

I had good luck keeping dry with the poncho on Kali and Splash Mountain.

I will keep you in mind when I am experincing my very own Commando moment 17 days from now. :lmao:

Avoid the commando moments! :dance3:

You must have forgotten that sunglasses at Disney cost a kidney and your first born!;)

It wasn't so much the price, it was the quality, as we found out later that day.
