First Ocean Visit!!!

I've been to WDW sooo many times but I have NEVER been to the ocean. This time when we go in September we are finally going to the ocean!!! I am so excited!! I love the water and my boyfriend is coming with us again and he can't wait to show me the ocean. He's been there before and so have many of my friends and when I tell them I'm going to the ocean for the first time they're say things like "You've never been to the ocean?" It's funny to them because they know I go to FL a lot so it's weird that I've never been to the ocean

So with that said, I was wondering if the people that have gone to the ocean could tell me the best or worst time they had at the ocean!

I hope you have a wonderful time!
I love, love, love the ocean. My house is a very short walk from the beach so we go there 4-5x a week in the summer as well as a lot in the spring and fall to find sea glass. My kids would tell you that they love the ocean because I let them have ice cream without worrying about them making a mess and they can get as dirty as they want in the mud and sand without it being a problem.

You'll have a different experience, depending on if you go over the west coast beach or the east coast. The west coast can be more like a "lake" with little or no waves (more like large ripples) where as the east coast can have mild to rough waves depending on if there is a storm out to sea or not. Either one will be neat to you since you have never been at all, but I think to truly experience the ocean you need to see & "feel" waves- the water splashing up on your threatening to take yoru feet out rom uner you!!
We go to the Outerbanks in NC every year * LOVE, LOVE LOVE it, but we lived in Naples for 4 years (that's on the west coast of FL) & there never seemed to be any waves there at all, so it was a disappointment to me since I was used to an ocean with waves! NO mater which beach you go to, have fun! Enjoy the ocean & the shells along the beach. (that is one thing some people love about the west coast, since there are not so many waves, you can find many more "intact" shells there than on the east coast.)
