First night ideas?

We stay on site in a Disney resort so we usually unpack then head to DTD for something to eat at Woolfgang Puck Express. The plan is usually to then have a look around the shops but I don't think we've managed that yet, by the time we've finished eating the only thing we're fit for is bed ;)

We always head for a bite at DTD however last August we flew (reluctantly) a few days after the security alert so it took us AGES to get through security at Gatwick which meant we didn't get to Pop century until 8:30pm and our luggage didn't arrive until nearly midnight - we used DME.

This year we plan to get to Caribbean Beach and get a Pizza to eat in our room. Can't wait..........

why would anyone eat in McDonalds with all the other choice.

That's showing a lack of respect, I was wondering why you'd travel 5,000 miles and the first thing you need to do on arrival was find a bar and get an alcoholic drink........

One man's coffee.........We are all different...

My first time 'on-site' this year, so wondering what to do first night also.

It is just my GF and I going this year, so if all goes to plan, we are just going to check-in at POP, then travel to Epcot, and wander around the world showcase, have a nice meal, and watch illuminations.

We have a 14 day pass, and I am thinking it would be best to go on the first night instead of the last day.

Our plane is scheduled to arrive in Orlando International at 2:35 pm.

If everything goes ok, what time will we be at the hotel?

Also, if we have a 6:00 pm flight on the way home, what time will we get picked up?

Also, can anyone tell me what virgin atlantic flights are like, as it is my first time on them too.

This holiday can not come soon enough.

Many thanks.

flew last year on the day on the security alert arrived 12hours late. Best thing was the taxi was waiting there. We are not planning to arrange anything first night for this reason, we will play it by ear.

I think it depends on who is with me. With just me and DH, we dumped the stuff and went straight to MK to ride loads of rides and see Wishes, we were exhausted the next day though:rotfl2:
With the kids we have something to eat, unpack and then bed. This year as its me and the girls, the plan is to head to a park as we land at 2:40pm so plenty of time. I have booked Liberty Tree Tavern but this is there only if we feel like it, and as we are at the Boardwalk, we could just as easily go to MGM or Epcot, will definately be a park though, my friend is very excited and informed me when we booked that we are going straight to a park:goodvibes
