Where would you go for a first night non-park dinner?

DH, me, DD12, Friend12, DS9. We wanted to do a dinner "show" but we've done HDDR and Luau and the BBQ already so we're debating between an offsite dinner show or one of the resort restaurants. We want some where with "normal" food, nothing too adventurous or out of the ordinary.

Thanks!

We always have our first night dinner at Chef Mickeys. Being it is a character meal it is almost like a show. You could also take a ride on the monorail from the Contemporary.

Would get my vote good food and fun place to enjoy a dinner. :goodvibes :flower: :sunny:

Usually we start with dinner at Chef Mickey's
This Aug we want to try brkfst at Chef Mickey's so will plan that for our 1st morning.
We'll get a PS for lunch at Trails End for our first day (not too festive but I cant think of where else on the MK monorail line to book!)

Where are you staying?

If you are in the Magic Kingdom area I would suggest either Chef Mickey's or 'Ohana's. Both are a lot of fun.

If you are in the Epcot area - how about Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club? You could have a light dinner and share a kitchen sink! Or just skip dinner and have the kitchen sink. :) Or for a heavier meal try the Yacht Club Galley - lots of great choices.

We are staying at the Poly, so our first dinner is going to be O'Hanas, then off to the beach to watch the water parade and wishes!

We're staying offsite...Cypress Pointe...but we'll have a car so where ever is fine. Maybe we will do Chef Mickeys, it just gets such mixed reviews on here. Some people really like it and others really hate it so I'm unsure. Also, we don't really need to do a character thing but I do want down to earth kind of food and they seem to have that.

Keep the thoughts coming!

On our first night we do not plan anything. We drive dwon to the world and we are not usually very hungry when we arrive. Sometimes we might go into a park for counter service and fireworks, and others we just enjoy the our resorts counter service.
