First night cash?- More specific question last post.

If you want to pay MS for the first night, can you book 11 months from that date, or do you have to wait for 11 months from your first night on points? Is a cash cost always available for HHI?

You could book it at 11 months from that date if available. It isn't always available.

Yup...just did this! We own at AKV and booked (2) 2BR's at OKW for June 16 and called back today to add June 22. Got the member cash discount on both of them.

I was also able to book a 1BR on cash at HHI last year. It wasn't at 11 months, closer to 9-10 months. I was surprised that 1) the 1BR was even available and 2) it was available at a discount. We were booking the first week of April.

I think I need to be more specific.

If I book the first night for money at 11 months out, can I on that day book the next 5 nights for points. Or do I have to wait 11 months out from the first day that I will be booking on points?

I think you would need to call twice as they are technically two separate reservations.

That would be my guess, so I have to decide whether or not I have to book the high point Saturday on points in order to get the 4th of July week.

Since we just bought those HHI points, I wonder is the 4th of July week at HHI as competitive as getting NYE on site at WDW? Or can I risk paying for the weekend before and then waiting for the Sunday reservation to open up.

Any comments, from experience? We need a 2 bedroom for sure, and maybe a studio.

I do this frequently at VB. I make 1 call and tell them I want a 2BDR Cash and the rest of the nights on points. I do this exactly at 11 months out. They give you 2 diff ressie numbers but like them. I have done this for 9 years at least 2 times a year so.... over 18 times without issue.
