Right now I have Chefs for our 1st night. At 8pm. We get to MCO at 4pm. Taking ME so prob be at POR around 5/5:30. Get room and settle in so prob won' t leave for EPCOT until 6/6:30. Get there by 7ish. Do I really want to go all the way to EPCOT. Just for dinner? I am leaning towards dinner at DTD and coming back to POR and seeing Bob' s show and relaxing. We have 10 nights so there is plenty of time to go to the parks. We are on the DDP paying for it and are AP holders so the park tkt doesn't matter. Any suggestions for dinner at DTD on the plan or should I just keep Chefs?

I have had good meals at both Raglan Road and Wolfgang Puck's. I agree with your instinct that relaxing at your resort may be best. That is what we do on arrival day, that way we are all rested for MK (our first day tradition).

Been to RR for lunch and enjoyed it. Never tried WP. I am leaning towards DTD at this point. I don't think I want to rush around worring about time! Thanks! :)

We always do DTD on the night we arrive at POR. We like the boat ride and it usually isn't over corwded unless at the end of the evening around 11pm. I'm not sure what type of trip this is for you with or without kids but we have a child. We do planet hollywood so he can see the herbie car and my husband is in production so he enjoys the atmosphere and things to look at. I know Planet Hollywood was on the dining plan. It is a chain restaurant but we don't have any locally so it is a treat to go and is part of tradition dating way back to our honeymoon. I was pleasently surprised and actally had a great steak there when using dining plan. My mom also got the steak my dad the ribs my husband the salmon and my child the pizza. No one had complaints and we just relaxed.

We are huge Raglan Road fans, so I would definitely recommend that. If you have small kiddos in your group, T-Rex is a fun place for them. I would definitely got DTD over Chefs for your arrival.
