I have made 5 WDW trips in the last 8 years and the monster in Everest has never worked. You would think that could be fixed first.

Unfortunately, they would have to take down the mountain to fix issue as it has to due with the foundation she is on is cracked.

Yes and no, I've heard they could fix it without shutting the ride down for a significant time but either way I believe hey would have to take the yeti out. It's been said there are multiple plans to fix it it's just money and approval at this point.

I'm concerned about the maintenance on these entire lands.. How are they going to keep those mountains looking good without covering them with scaffolding every few years???

When Joe and James were talking about Pandora, they mentioned how it was a destroyed by humans already area of the planet and this was a rehabilitation project. So it will be littered with things from the big war, and human buildings, etc etc etc.. I think to a degree it's been setup so it might be more believable if it's not kept up as well as they normally would.

When Joe was doing his AK only presentation he kind of drove the point home on how some things can't be disney like because they aren't believable in this setting. This one is a little harder to describe but his presentation ended with how pandora will be relative to how our world is today. I hope they put that presentation out for others to see, it was that good and there was a lot of amazing things about AK most probably didn't notice that came out of it.

Jungle Cruise is similar, they don't rush in to remove the dead leaves and plants that need attention because it's more believable if it's not pristine. (also found that out at destination d when they went over the history of the ride).

I wanted to add something to this video.

There was a pirates of the Caribbean talk that had a lot of what it's like in shanghai as part of it. They did mention that this animatronic is the same type that they have in use in their pirates. There is 1 big difference in that the avatar characters heads are larger and they could fit more into it so it will be more advanced aka, more things in it to do more expressions than that character. It's a combo electric and hydro animatronic unlike the FEA ones that are 100% electric.

I'm also hoping its the same ride system for this boat ride and it looked amazing not just from what the boats being independent and could move in any direction but how they did some thigns with projections..

It's too bad no one really gives a rats a about Pandora, and highly doubt many will make special trips to see.

My next trip is early May and I will miss the opening. I will be an outlier to your "doubt" though because 2017 just became the first year in many that I will be making TWO TRIPS! The Second one will most definitely be a "special" trip to see Pandora. Rat's A my petuty! ARgghhhhhhhhhh.
