First Impressions of MNSSHP 10/16
Great party! Loved the ambiance!
We got in to the MK at 5:00. Disney had the people entering MNSSHP walk up the sidewalk on the right hand side of Main St.
Loved seeing large amount of people leaving MK as I was going in.
Only 5-10% of adults were in costume.
Was not scary at all for 5 & 6 year olds.
DD6 was most interested in going on all the rides but she did not like the Haunted Mansion ride.
Got to Cinderellas coach behind the castle about 6:00. No crowds. Got good pics.
Then was told by CMs to go to Tomorrowland which we did but they reopened Fantasyland prior to 7:00. Went on all rides in Fantasyland without a wait! Got our picture done by Small World without a wait. First time for Mickeys Philharmagic- it was great! Loved it! Just missed the seven dwarves and Snow White! Saw them marching off. Did not see many characters. Saw Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Stanley, and Rollie Pollie Ollie (sp?) in Toontown. Did not see any villains except in the parade. Toontown was great for trick-or-treating but got very crowded. For the fireworks we were on the bridge to Tomorrowland seated in a alcove. Bad choice. I thought the fireworks were more behind the castle. They were behind the trees to the right of the castle so our view was blocked. However towards the end of the show the fireworks were going off all around you. If someone mentions viewing the fireworks from this bridge make sure you are on this bridge near the Main St. side. We did see the witch fly out of the castle. Viewed the second parade from the wood stockade in Liberty Square. Great area and spot to view the parade and storytelling but note that the rope does not go right in front of this and about 5-6 rows of people can be in front of you. Lucky for us everyone in front of us was sitting down. If they did stand the stockade is elevated so we still could see. The parade comes right at you at this spot and then turns. First the storyteller told the legend of Sleepyhollow and the headless horseman. Then shortly after this the headless horseman galloped over the wood bridge through Liberty Square and the parade followed. Then went to Haunted Mansion. Had very minimal wait. Did not get too much Halloween candy. They give one piece per station. Less than 1 min waits for any candy. Theyre giving out Tootsie Rolls, Peanut Butter Cups, Fun Dip, Laffy Taffy, Charleston Chew, Butterfinger, Now and Later, Dots, Lollipops, Bottle Caps, Sweet Tarts, Nestle mini milk chocolate candy bar, Mounds or Almond Joy.
Great night to go to the MK. It doesnt seem like 7:00-12:00 would be enough time but because the crowds are less you can do so much more. Get there early. On a regular day it would take forever to do everything in Fantasyland but we did everything so fast because there were no lines. I would recommend this party and would go again.
