First DL Trip for Alaskan Family of 5 w/Photos (5.1.07-5.8.07) *update 5/24*

Sounds like a fantastic trip! I was suprised after reading the whole thing how many things you listed that you didn't get a chance to do. All the more reason to hustle right back there.

I highly recommend bringing an extra adult. We either bring my mom or my bestfriend. It is so nice because that way it's not always you who sits out something for the sake of a little one, you can take turns (somehow mh DH gets around having to take a turn most times:confused3 )

Thanks for taking the time to write the report.

WOW Thanks for your trip report. I totally enjoyed reading that. It was fantastic! Sorry you didnt get to try all you wanted, but ;) it just gives you a reason to go back. Definately bring Grandma next time. I am sure she would LOVE it there!

Great report! Glad you had such a fun time and got to spend awhile, 5 days is great!

OUr trip is coming up in less than 3 weeks! :cool1:

Great trip report! I enjoyed all of the details. Hopefully, you will be able to return when the kids are just a bit older so that you can do more. Don't forget about the baby swap option. You still may not be able to ride together, but at least you both would get the chance to ride without waiting in line again. Fastpass is also a life saver.

Awesome trip report! And I will have to check the feed store in town here for the crocs. I can't find them anywhere in Fairbanks.

What an awesome trip report. I don't have kids so it was nice to read about someone's trip with kids, sounds like a lot of work. I'm glad you were able to get your little girl on space mountain with you :thumbsup2 even though she didn't like it that much. The pictures were an added bonus as well.

I also loved reading your TR. It caught my attention since I'm from Bethel, myself. This was one of the best reports I've read since I joined. I loved all the details and pics.

I really enjoyed reading your TR - and your photos are great!:thumbsup2

Your little ones are soooo cute, too!:)

Very nice! I enjoyed reading your trip report, I'm from "the Valley" between Palmer and Wasilla. We are now in the process of planning our Disney/San Diego vacation, it's not until November...but it's so exciting to read someone else's experience now. Our kids are a lot older, but everyone loves Disney! We haven't been to Disneyland since 1999, our last trip was to WDW in 2003. Looking forward to it...WHoo hoo!!

I also think it's great to hear from someone in Alaska. I'm not from Alaska, but my BF is (Fairbanks to be exact ;) )!

Pirates of the Caribbean & Build-a-Bear

We then went on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. Awesome ride! Unfortunately, Gia didn’t think so. She sobbed through most of the ride. It was the dark, scary beginning that did it. I kept reassuring her that it was all just pretend but whenever she’d peek her head up, she’d cry and put her head back down.

that's too bad she didn't enjoy the ride:hug: We took my little sister when she was 2 yo, she just covered her eyes the whole time.
