First day of Halloween and the parks look really manageable??

Is summer officially over? Are we seeing the actual fall demand after the last ditch run into debt summer vacation is over?

Nothing has added up this year as far as predictions have gone. OBB tickets were so incredibly easy to get and lasted for days. Dining reservations (for most places) have been WAY easier to get and often linger for hours or even days. Physically calling Napa Rose is usually an exercise patience, but I’ve been able to get through with at most one hang up and redial move, and normally at best I can get one Chef’s Counter night in advance and really go off “any available day,” this year I got ALL THREE days that I asked about as options…

It all adds up to demand being very different than last year and previous years. This feels a little more like 2019 which was a noticeably more “relaxed” feeling during an OBB party and the parks felt lively but nowhere near soul crushing during the day.

BUT, when I spot checked wait times the last few weeks, you still saw 80+ minutes at times for Guardians or RSR, Rise was still always 60+ minutes, etc.

Today, a Friday, at mid day, and I’m seeing A LOT of 10s and 15s over in Disneyland and Rise, Indie, and Matterhorn are all under 45 minutes and Smugglers is 10! That’s practically walk on.

DCA doesn’t look bad either, I’m seeing a lot of 15-35 minutes with the outlier being RSR, but that’s still less than an hour.

On a Friday…

What’s Tuesday-Thursday going to look like? Is this fall going to be a lot more enjoyable? Has everyone finally ran out of money?

I think it will get busy

Today is many MK holders who are here buying merch, getting pictures with characters and some will not be showing up until later for the Fireworks

But I hope its close to this slow tomorrow, would be wonderful since I'm going, lol

They just sent an email promoting a Dia de los Muertos Celebration discount for 3 day tickets. $150 for kids, $249 for adults.
That’s not new, it was introduced way back in June… so even with that reduced ticket price this is what we’re seeing…

REALLY interesting to see what happens with (if) hotel discounts in late October and/or ticket offers… if they don’t introduce something else, October will be even more expensive than now…

Today has been amazing. Yesterday was crazy though and today there are lots of people checking into the Grand. Hopefully tomorrow will be like today, but I think it’s going to be more like Thursday was.

I’m here right now. Ride lines aren’t bad at all but lots of people in the walkways.
I think a lot of people came for the food, new characters & costumes, popcorn buckets, etc. How long is the line for Jack & Sally?

I left around 7:15 and the line of cars to pull into the structure was getting towards the bridge.

There was an after hours even at CA, people dressed up and wristbands. We think it was a cast member preview of the party.
I think there was a media event yesterday. Some of the vloggers seem to have footage from last night.

There was both I think. The media people had lanyards and the others for the party had wristbands and the amount of people was too high for just media I think.

My friend and I were at the parks yesterday. We were SHOCKED at how low the crowds were. Rides had very short waits. Walkways were uncrowded. When we park hopped throughout the day, we just walked right to a gate and scanned in immediately. It did get busy later in the day, but it seemed people were mainly into the lights and decorations. It was a fun day!

Last night was the OBB CM preview. There shouldn’t have been bloggers there. Maybe they got footage from CMs; there’s lots of CM posts on Instagram.

Thanks. Looking back at their Instagram accounts, I realized that they shared clips from CM posts.

Depends on the date. We just squeezed in for our 2 dates.

The first night ones sold out quickly. I was so nervous with multiple windows open lol.

Tuesday's was easier

Glad that part of it is over! Let the parties begin👻

Yeah, I had seven browsers running and our first choice ran out before I got in (this was during the MK presale… I might have been able to get it if I waited for the general sale, but I didn’t want to gamble given how last year went!)

Seriously? I saw them for HOURS… I actually even thought none of the dates had sold out before they dropped the queue… but maybe different people were seeing different things, I certainly wouldn’t put it past Disney’s hacked together systems…
