First day is Thanksgiving...

We will be visiting WDW for 11 days and our first day is on Thanksgiving. We should arrive at WL between 12:30 and 1:00 pm. Does anyone have suggestions as to how and where to spend the rest of the day? I know that MK will be a zoo and possibly filled to capacity by the time we arrive, however we were thinking about at least just "getting our feet wet" there--since it doesn't seem like we're at Disney until we've been to MK. Maybe just trying to get in for Spectro and Wishes? I'm not concerned about using a day of tickets since we will have AP's. (BTW..we are planning AK for the day after Thanksgiving so I probably won't want to head over there.) Thanks in advance for the advice!

Is the the park that handles huge crowds best,you might want to consider going there and enjoying Illuinations that evening. Have a magical and safe trip.

We did this 2 years ago and arrived at AKL around 5p. We headed over to WCC for Thanksgiving dinner.After dinner we went over to MK for Wishes. It wasn't as bad as I thougt it would have been. We walked down to the bakery with no problems and watched Wishes. It was as magical as always. I think if you have an early flight I would hang out at the resort , swim or rest and head over to MK around 4 or 5. Make sure you make dining ressies!! Have a great trip , we will get there on Saturday this year, Thanksgiving will be in Vero!!
