Planning my kids' first Disney trip for 12/05, they will be 10, 8 and 6 at that time. The day we arrive I plan to get there around lunchtime.

We will only have 3 full days and this one 1/2 day. Which park do you recommed for the 1/2 day only? TIA!!

I always have to go to MK on my first day. It gets me in the Disney mood!

I don't know what kind of tickets you have, but if you have park hoppers, you can go to MK the first day, then see the other parks, and maybe on your AK day, you can go back to MK & see what you weren't able to see the first time.

We're getting hoppers, but with time being so tight, we're gonna end up doing 1 park per day I think. I'm definitely going to do a full day to MK!!!

I think MK on the first day. :) The half day I would spend at either MGM or AK. Probably MGM.

I agree - MGM. Don't miss Fantasmic. Definitely save Magic Kingdom for at least one full day. Crowds should be down so I think you'll see most everything with your three days. All your kids are first timers! They must be so excited!

I like the idea of going to AK on your first day and then hopping to MGM for the evening to ride a couple rides and staying for Fantasmic. AK always closes early - will proabably close at 5pm when you visit and MGM will be open until 7 probably. That's enough time to scoot over to MGM, ride 1 or 2 rides and go see Fantasmic. At that time of year, you could probably show up for Fantasmic 30 min or less ahead of the show and maybe find seats. Maybe not great seats but with limited time, you'll need to make some sacrifices. With only 3 1/2 days, I'm sure you don't want to burn 2 hours waiting for Fantasmic so you can get your prime seat.

Then when you spend your full day at MGM, you won't have as many attractions/shows to see. I have a hard time fitting in all of the shows/attractions at MGM in one day because of the scheduled times of the shows. I can never seem to get out of one show and get to another before it starts. Or there is not enough time until the next show time to ride an attraction.

My children are not at all excited. I've not told them a thing. They think Disney is Mommy's wild dream, and like winning the lottery, it'll never happen. LOL

Finding these boards has done so much to make this easier!! You guys are amazing.

I think I would just do MGM according to park hours it will be open til 8pm on the 5th whereas AK is only open til 5pm. You may even be able to see most of what you want at MGM on that half day since it should not be to crowded. I always like to do AK early since that is when the animals are most active. I agree with you, although I love the MK and it does get you into the mood it is just better to make a whole day out of it since I do believe the 5th is also a MVMCP day and that would mean it too would be closing early. At least I hope I am on schedule with you, the way it looks you are arriving on 12/5 and that is the half day you were asking about?

Oh, I wasn't very clear. I'm already obsessing about Dec, 2005, not, sadly, the 5th of dec THIS year.
