First cruise. What are my first moves?

TBH I tend to recommend against Fish Extender if you are flying internationally or if it is first cruise.

Because it takes up room in the bag and takes time?

I think I might like to decorate our door though. We are flying internationally so maybe something small?

It's not just that you have to bring something to the ship for the Fish Extenders, you can always bring bags of local candy etc. However, you will be also receiving stuff, and you do not know what the others might give you. Usually the gifts are not that big, but you can't really anticipate how big/how much you will get in return.

Also, depending on your cruise group, you'll find varying levels of involvement, stress, judgement, craftiness, etc. It creates a weird layer of doubt, potentially. You can't anticipate what you'll get in return or if it will leave glitter all over everything in your bags.

You can print your own magnets... It doesn’t take much room in the suitcases.

Yeah, Magnets are flat and light and totally non-fragile.
