First Cruise...ever!

We are booked on the Wonder sailing March 11,2004!!! This will be our first trip to Disneyworld and cruise. I think I'm more excited than my sons (ages 15 & 13). We'll be staying at the Port Orleans Riverside for the land part of the package. Does anyone know if the cruise lines will accept my Visa debit card instead of the regulard visa credit card (thinking of when I will need to give a card upon bording). I wanted to use my debit card and just carry less cash on the trip, and avoid using my regular credit cards at all!! Any suggestions??

Yes, the Visa debit card is the same as a credit card and will be accepted as such. And, with the exception of tipping room service, the Post Office on Castaway Cay (you have to have cash for that no exception) and if you wanted to do cash in your tip envelopes for your servers, you don't need cash onboard anyhow, everything (drinks, souvenirs) goes back to your Key to the World Card, they don't accept cash for anythiing else onboard.

If you go on Disney for your first cruise, you will be forever spoiled for any other cruise line. Even with some of the problems you may read about on the boards, Disney is the BEST. Have a wonderful time!

I hope you have a FANTASTIC time on both the cruise and at the parks. You are going to LOVE it!

As for your Visa Debit card--make sure you check with your bank to see what your daily charge limit is. There is generally a limit to the amount and you could be declined if you go over it. If you let them know you are going on vacation you can ask that they increase the daily limit for you. (They put the limits on there for theft protection.)
