Hello: The first couple of weeks of october is it still hot and rainy as in september, and what about crowd levels?

Deb

Yes...it gets a little bit less rainy than Sept. but you'll still see your fair share;)

As for crowd levels, Oct. is a semi-popular time of year to visit...esp. for DVC resorts, but regular WDW resorts too...especially if you'll be there during MNSSHP or If Food-n-wine festival starts at the end of Oct. (not sure if F-n-W starts quite that early but....) Your biggest hurrdle is probably avoiding hurricanes.

We were in October last year and it was FABULOUS weather. It was rainy one day--all day, Monday, Columbus Day. Except for that one day it was about 85 degrees everyday and sunshine all around. http://www.discount-tickets.us/orlando-weather.htm --scroll down and you can see the average weather conditions. I've never been in September, but October is great!! The weather was perfect and the crowds were low. Most rides we waited only about 15 minutes, some pushed 30 minutes. Test Track was by far the longest wait.

I loved going in October!

Thanks, Yes I feel for all those people in Florida and the other states that had all those hurricanes come thru. I wonder if this april would be a better bet then,

Deb.

Both MNSSHP and the Food & Wine festival begin Sept. 30th. F & W ends Nov. 13. It will add to the crowds somewhat but both these events are worth it imo. :flower:

Hi Deb,

We also went last Oct. from the 9th-16th and it was great! Only rain on Columbus Day and we live in shorts and tanks for the week. We walked on tons of attractions, average was about a 5 minute wait. I would for sure recommend this time of year and would go back myself that week.

Hi~

We have gone to Disney the first week in October for the last two years. In 2003 there was one day where it showered for about 15 minutes and that was it (we were there a week). Last year no rain at all (except small shower-but we were at lunch and didn't know it until we got out). The weather is still very warm. This is our favorite time to travel. If you get a chance, I would recommend the Not So Scary Halloween Party as well.

Hi: Thanks for all the good info, and mommytutu thanks for the weather chart. Sounds like a good time, now if there were discounts then it would be a super time.

Deb.

Hi,

What were the crowds like that week?

The crowds will be great. You'll have a wonderful time. You are going in hurricane season, so take yout rain gear.
