Day 4:

We started the day out with what had been a totally foreign concept to us thus far...a wake up call. NJ answered and thought it was pretty cute to be told it's time to wake up pal from Mickey. We actually had to get up this morning because we had planned a morning of golf. I've golfed for years, but I don't do it that often and I've never gotten very good. NJ just picked it up last summer and is now hooked. I'm glad we can share this hobby and all, but does he have to love it that much?!

Anyway, we both scheduled lessons with a pro first and then 9 holes on Oak Trail, the duffer course. We were there early so headed to the driving range to warm up. While on the range, a pro (thankfully not the one we paid $50 each for a half hour lesson) told NJ he had the ugliest swing he'd ever seen. Now NJ is quite sensitive, so I really though this would just turn our whole morning upside down. Remarkably, his love for this stupid game seemed to have overcome all of that. He was embarassed for sure, but he pretty much laughed it off and went on with his ugly swing. Eventually Bobby came along and really helped him out, and he helped me too.

We then played our nine holes, didn't do that great but had a good time anyway. NJ probably would have gone for 36 more, but I had really had enough at 9. We went back to music, cleaned ourselves up, and got ready for a day at downtown disney. By the way, the transportation to the golf course worked very well. We went to the desk at our resort and told them where we were going, they gave us a voucher and got us a cab to take us directly to the course. Then the pro shop did the same for our way back.

After our unusually early morning, we had already done all the golfing and made it to the marketplace about when we had made it to the parks the days before. We strolled through the marketplace and then went to planet hollywood for lunch. Ok food, but I love the atmosphere, especially of this location.

Then we proceeded to spend a ton of money and made a heck of a good use of that resort package delivery yet again! We got mothers day and fathers day gifts for my parents, several trinkets for ourselves. I've never seen NJ have so much fun shopping. Part of me wanted to tell him to control the spending a bit, but mostly I was just happy that he was enjoying shopping. Maybe the key is to golf with him first?

Eventually we hopped a bus to Ft. Wilderness for the hoop dee doo. This was absolutely my favorite thing we did the whole trip. We both thought the food was great, and the entertainment was just as cheesey at it needed to be. Of course NJ had to admit that we were having our first wedding anniversary. He thought it was all great until they made us dance...he really does not dance. Afterwards, he said I think that's the first time I danced since our wedding. I had to remind him that we didn't have a dance at our wedding .....he said, oh yeah, I really didn't want to dance then either, he doesn't know when he danced last. Even still, he loved it, and we got a kick out of how many people remembered and wished us a happy anniversary after the show.

By the way, for anyone heading to the hoop dee doo, be aware (and maybe everyone already is except for us, as it seemed the night we went) that any bus that says settlement at the outpost at Ft. Wilderness will take you to pioneer hall for the show. We kept waiting for a bus that said pioneer hall, and cussed at the third purple and yellow and orange settlement buses as they passed. We finally got the hint and got there just fine.

had a front roll seat too......we enjoyed it.....Now about this shopping to DTD.....what did you do to him to make him enjoy it.....hahaha...actually we all have a good time when we go there....thanks so much for your report

Love shopping at the world - that is where I blow the budget every time :D - thanks for posting!

Sounds like a fun day, even though you never went into a park. Looking forward to the rest of your reports.

Thanks for the fantastic trip reports.
