Please someone tell me what this tastes like! Is it like liquid guacamole or something else? I don't eat a lot of avacados, will eat them, don't seek them out. I don't care for guacamole but am dying to try this beloved drink. Am I making a mistake?

Nothing at all like quacamole. According to them menu, it has melon liquer in it. I think it tastes more like that.

Oh, I'm glad to hear that you got to try the AP soup! So what did you think???

And, I so love the F & W festival but sadly won't be able to go this year. Care to share any details of your trip for my list?

My DD who won't go near a mushroom loved me and tried a spoonful. She thought the soup tasted like potato soup and I have to agree. I love mushrooms but even though it looked like mushroom didn't taste like them. I did taste bacon and scallion and salt. It was very good, not what I expected and I was thrilled I got to try one more of the Dis favorites.

I keep changing the dates for F&W (mid Oct.) and am leaning toward cutting the trip short and driving to our new place in FL and spending a couple days staring at the ocean.

I wish you could find a chance to go to F&W just for a couple days alone. As a mom it's the most amazing, freeing experience. I was so hesitant at first and my DH forced me to take time for myself. Now I look so forward to those days.

Brenda ran into another fellow DISer (Pinkgirl) during her breakfast this morning at Crystal Palace. In addition to getting a picture for us, Brenda found out that Marie got married this week at the Yacht Club, the resort where she and her new husband are staying.

So CONGRATS Pinkgirl!!! ​

Wow, I'm a legend??? Not really, I'm actually just a lowly messenger. All the credit should go to our three "live" reporters...emmysmommy, GoofySon'sMom, and Tracerr00. They are awesome! I'm just hoping that others will offer to do "live" reports from WDW, so they can pass on their reporter "batons" at the end of their trips. I would love to keep this going as a "live" report thread.

I was just looking at my list and noticed that I missed that mommys3 left on her trip to WDW on Monday, the 27th. Sorry, Helen! But I hope you and your family are having a great time there!

Here is their trip info...

mommys3 - Helen, Larry, and their 4 kids are celebrating their 12th wedding anniversary at WDW from 8/27 to 9/1. Joining them are Helen's SIL and her family (husband and 2 boys). They are staying at ASMovies from 8/27-31 and then the Polynesian CL for one night (anniversary present). See Helen's Pre-Trip Dining Report for more details.


Also this Friday, emmebear will arrive at WDW to celebrate her birthday. Emmebear and her daughter will be there from 8/31 - 9/3. She has also started a Pre-Trip Dining Report.
