My DH and I are new DVC members. We bought 240 points in April, 2008. We live in Florida and have been able to take advantage of our proximity with several short visits. So far we have stayed at the following resorts:
Saratoga Springs 1 night in May
Saratoga Springs 1 night in July
Saratoga Springs 4 nights in August
Vero Beach Resort 4 nights in September
Hilton Head Island 4 nights in October

We both play golf and have played at all of the WDW courses as well as two of the resort courses on HH.

I can't begin to describe how much we love DVC and only wish we had joined sooner. While we enjoy the parks, we also love riding on the boats to various locations, enjoying Downtown Disney, walking the resorts, enjoying the pools and especially playing golf.

We were pleasantly surprised at both HH and VB. They definitely exceeded our expectations. I particularly loved HH. For me, it has it all; privacy and beautiful views of the marsh and marina, a great beach facility and incredible golf courses in the surrounding area.

I would love to hear about any recommendations for golf courses in VB or on HH that other golfers have enjoyed.

Lucky, lucky you, to have had so much fun in 6 short months! I am completely envious of your ability to get a quickie with the mouse just when you need it!!:goodvibes

What courses did you play in HH? My DH (and DS11 & I, for one game!) played Fazio twice- challenging and lovely course. Looking forward to trying many, many more in the future, and looking forward to hearing how people respond to your post!:thumbsup2

Can't equate to your love of the golf course, but love that you love the HHI and VB resorts. They are special resorts. For sure...

We played the Robert Trent Jones course at Palmetto Dunes Resort. The course was beautiful but was way overbooked. It took over 5 hours to play and many groups were complaining. I will give the Palmetto Dunes courses another try on our next visit.

We also played Robber's Row at Port Royal Plantation. It was great. I had a great length advantage over my DH which helped me beat him. We enjoyed the course and the staff. We will definitely go back and try Planter's Row at Port Royal Plantation.

I would love to hear about golf courses on HHI or at VB.
