Where are the best spots to view fireworks? Is the castle part of the story like Wishes? How soon should I stake out a spot? Is there designated wheelchair seating? We will be a party of three people in wheelchairs and two healthy individuals.

Thanks!

Yes there are HAC areas, but it's best to find one where you face toward the castle not on the side of the crowds. These spots will get very crowded the closer you are so expect to wait a while.

Unlike Wishes the standard Disneyland Fireworks (Remember Dreams Come True) are way better. You want to be able to view the castle and Matterhorn for it, and also for the summer Magical and Halloween and Christmas shows.

Also keep in mind that during the offseason, fireworks are only scheduled on Fri-Sun night and holidays.

Yes, the castle is involved, so it is great to be somewhere along Main Street. We showed up about 10 minutes early and there were still plenty of great spots in the hub closest to the entry. They were perfect for kids in strollers or those in wheelchairs, and it was a quick exit once the show was over. I'm not sure there is any perfect spot, even if you want to stake it out 90 minutes in advance - though the people that do seem to be in the hub closest to the castle.

Have fun! :)

We staked out some wooden benches in the hub facing the castle when we were there 2 weeks ago....we wanted to be able to sit and enjoy the fireworks, we had never seen them before.

We were not prepared for the giant mob of people that tried to push their way into our area the closer it got to showtime. But everyone was sitting on the ground, so we thought we would be fine.....Just before showtime, the CM's told everyone sitting that they were required to STAND. So the people sitting directly in front of us stood up, and they were a family of 6, with 4 grown boys that were well over 6 ft tall. :( :( :( My kids had a hard time seeing, and when I told them to stand on the bench, they were told to get down.
