hello! I've tried to search but not coming up with an answer. I understand that a wheelchair/ECV guest can have one guest in the viewing area which is great. But do they allow your young kids to sit with you? I don't want to view the show alone. if my husband and I were in the area, and the kids sat on our laps therefore not taking up room or blocking anyone, would that be allowed?

no. one you may not have anyone on your lap while in the ECV. there is an adjacent area for excess family members to view the festivities.but outside the roped off area.

are you asking about the fireworks If so there is no separate place to view them.

If you are asking about the parade then this could be a yes. They do not let kids sit on your lap while driving an ECV, but they may let them do this if you are not driving ( like watching a parade) I have heard that they will let one person sit in front of you and one stand behind you. If you and DH both have ECV then you could have both kids sit in front of the two of you

If you are asking about the fireworks at the MK like I said they do not have any area for this. You can most of the time use the grass area on the left side ( looking at the castle) you have a fine infant of you and in front of that is a walk way ( that CM trie to leave open) you will get to see most of the show on the castle this way .

During parade viewing, they may allow the kids to sit on the curb in front of your ECV while your husband stands behind you. Possibly 1 small child on your lap. Unless your husband has an ECV as well, there is no seating offered to the companion - they either sit on the curb in front or stand behind. I'm not sure they have roped-off wheelchair/ECV viewing for fireworks in MK and we've never used it for Illuminations in Epcot.

Enjoy your vacation!

Ok thanks! The only time I've used it was wiht my husband alone, but now that I think about it was for a parade not fireworks, oops. It was at a Halloween party last year and we sat to watch the parade then firweworks same spot so I got confused! And just FYI I'd never drive with my kids on my lap, I'm not new to this ;) they can sit on your lap if it's turned off. No wonder I couldn't find info lol.

If you have a child in your lap to watch fireworks, be sure to take the key out of the ignition. Put it in your pocket. Mine would be easy to bump to the on position and accidentally move the ECV with a wiggly child on my lap.

Hope you and your family have a great trip.
