fireworks then fantasmic

After the response to my last post im doing the fireworks on sat
the fireworks are at 9:25 and then fantasmic is at 10:30
ok heres the problem i need ideas on best way to get most out of each
have seen fantasmic at wdw many so im more about the fireworks but would like to see fantasmic even if not great view
any and all ideas would be helpfull

I have seen Fantasmic many times after viewing the fireworks. I recommend viewing the fireworks from the hub area in front of the castle and then make your way to the western side of Rivers of America (near Haunted Mansion). I never have a problem finding a good spot there at the last minute. The hardest part is navigating through the huge crowds trying to exit the park. Most people pick a spot for Fantasmic that is in the center or near the eastern side of Rivers of America. If you're not picky about having a side view of the show, the spot near Haunted Mansion is great!

Can I ask the reverse? When we're there, it's Fantasmic at 9:00, fireworks at 9:25. Can we still see both? Where's the best spot for that if the fireworks are more important?

You can see the fireworks from the rivers but you will miss the "special effects" of the castle projects and a few other things. It is immpossible to move from Fantasmic to the main street/hub area for the fireworks after the 9pm Fantasmic, since they begin right after Fantasmic ends.

Is the Disneyland Fantasmic any better than WDW? Our family isn't huge Fantasmic fans, so since it looks like it's one or the other, we'll be on Main Street for the fireworks. (Does that mean less people will try to stand in front of us? )

IMO, the Disneyland version is far superior in all but one way; no seating (other then the ground or the over priced riverfront or balchony seating).

I watched the 10:30 showing of Fantasmic at the smoking area on the Rivers of America, directly next to the laniding for the Tom Sawyer rafts. Yes, you may have to put up with secondhand smoke (as well as smoke from the fireworks), but we sat on the bench and no one cut in front of us. We had a good view of the Pan Pirate battle and the steamboat at the end. but we couldn't see the center stage actions very well....but all in all, it was a good place to see the show.
