Fireworks Question

My husband and I will be in DL in mid-October during probably the busiest weekend of the month.....I LOVE fireworks and he could take them or leave them. I REALLY want to see both the Halloween Screams show and the fireworks from Galaxy's Edge (we will be there on a Friday and Saturday). The GE viewing would be the priority as my husband and I are huge Star Wars fans.

Here's the question....I don't want to post up somewhere and wait for much more than a half an hour. I definitely realize this will not put us in the best position for viewing, but I'd love some advice on where we might get a decent view of each show that isn't one of the prime locations where everyone positions themselves way in advance.

To view fireworks with projections, you'll want to watch from Main Street, the castle, Small World or Rivers of America. Small World is probably the least crowded.

Are you planning on watching Fantasmic as well? If so, I would purchase a Fantasmic dining package for the first show. You eat lunch or dinner in one of three restaurants and receive a ticket to return at a later time to view Fantasmic. The first Fantasmic show runs from 9 pm - 9:27 pm. Immediately following Fantasmic, guests are asked to stand for fireworks which begin at 9:30 pm.

Dining packages start as low as $35 for Rancho del Zocalo. Viewing is from the waterfront. It doesn't matter to me, but it does to some.... dining package seats are on the ground. The view of Fantasmic from the RdZ section is just as good as the River Belle dining package area.

Small World - projections are on Small World. Fireworks are to the side. You miss a few fireworks that are launched at a different location.

Great advice already above. Another option is in front of Small World. Projections and big fireworks, but you do miss some low level fireworks from the castle.

One note. Do not be surprised if fireworks are cancelled for wind. It happens frequently and fall is heart of Santa Ana wind season.

For GE, we watched at the dining area by Docking Bay 7 overlooking the Falcon. It wasn’t nearly as crowded as I thought it would be.

We are not planning on watching Fantasmic. I've seen it - husband won't care about it at all.

Looking at these pics, I realize I definitely want to be watching at the Millennium Falcon so maybe we will have to post up a little early to make that happen.

I like the idea of watching Halloween Screams from Small World...sounds like there isn't really a bad view from there

And I did know they would be canceled for wind. I didn't know October was wind season so thanks for the heads up. We will try to GE the first night incase it gets canceled so we will have another shot at it.
