I don't understand why so many people are complaining about this. The "kiss goodnight" was always about enhancing the experience of the park: like a cherry on top of a Sunday. As of late, though, the over the top productions have become the main focus of the Parks after sunset. The crowds kill the mood.
We normally visit during peak times of the years, but we were just there 6-10 September. M-Th had no fireworks. F & S had the 5 min show. Comparing this visit to previous, nobody was standing around, reserving their spots for hours before the show, allowing us to transit through the hub and enjoy some attractions across the Park. Plus, with F! closed, we got to enjoy New Orleans Square and Main Street which offer some of the best lighting. Just look at these smiles... night time shows that are short, sweet and rare and better.
