Fireworks, DVC, and a whole lot less of me!!!-our 6th trip to disney!-update 7/6 pg14

After Jeremy's pirate adventure, we headed back to the WL. It was hot and we were just not in the mood to be in a park.

I finally remembered to get a picture of this wonderful sign! I loved staying at the WL if not for this part alone.

We had another towel angel waiting for us when we arrived.

We enjoyed a lazy afternoon at the pool. Sorry, no pictures. By the end of this trip, I just wanted to cool off in the pool. The heat was really starting to get to us.

That evening, we headed to Epcot. Jeremy goofing off at the bus stop.

We ate dinner at Le Cellier for the very first time and boy, it did not disappoint. It soon became Tom's favorite resturant at Disney. Our steak was wonderful, the potato soup scrumptious, the pretzel bread magnificent, and ooohh the maple creme brulee----fabulous! Yes, even I really enjoyed that meal.

Afterwards, we took a ride on Spaceship Earth. Tom and Jeremy enjoyed the activities they have at the end of the ride.

We went back to the room early and got a good nights rest.

Up Next:

Blizzard Beach
Animal Kingdom
Will we make it back to Magic Kingdom before we leave?

I am glad that someone when to complain - poor girl - did dad want to do it more than the child?

Was it different than what he did at the GF? Did he think he was too old for it? I wonder if my younger daughter would want to do something like that...

Oh...thrilled that Jeremy doesn't have to have further surgery - and that he is cleared to swim. I can't imagine being "banned" from the pool for the summer!

I think the dad wanted some Adult time, honestly. I never saw a mom even when he came back to pick the other daughter up. That poor little girl was scared to death.

I thought Jeremy enjoyed the Yacht Club's cruise more than the GF. He loves Epcot and thought it was neat they roamed around the World Showcase. With the GF cruise, they visited the beaches of the Poly, WL, and Ft. Wilderness. There was no chase with a pirate either. Jeremy was 8 last summer and enjoyed it. However, he did not want to do it this summer. The age limit is 10. Jeremy is so much taller than the other kids for his age and often times, kids his own age will sort of shy away from him as they think he is older. I see it happen a lot at school and at after school activities he is in.

I am sooo relieved about the swimming thing. He is so looking forward to the water parks.

Updated Dining Ressies

I think I finally have a list of dining reservations I can live with. I made a few changes a long the way but all in all, I think I have a list that will make the boys happy.

Saturday, June 25 - Boma 6 pm
Sunday, June 26 - Garden Grill 4:30 pm
Monday, June 27 - Chefs De France noon (looking forward to seeing Remy)
Tuesday, June 28 - Tusker House Donald's Breakfast 8:10 am
Wednesday, June 29 - San Angel Inn noon
Thursday, June 30 - Chef Mickey's 10:15 am (move to Bay Lake Tower)
Friday, July 1 - Cape May Buffet 5:40 pm
Saturday, July 2 - Whispering Canyon Cafe 6:15 pm
Sunday, July 3 - O'hanas 6:15 pm
Monday, July 4 - Coral Reef 5:50 pm

I still have not decided about the Dining plan. Of the 10 ressies I have, 6 are either buffet or family style. So, my small meals would not make a difference on those. I tried again with Disney and they would not allow me to get the plan for the boys and not for myself since I have a band. I have up until 2 days to add the plan before we arrive. More than likely I will get it this trip and see how it goes. I got an adjustment to the band yesterday and I am eating way less than I have been today.

I still have not planned anything "special" for Jeremy this trip. He wanted to do the Pirates League but I convinced him to wait unil Thanksgiving trip. I am afraid the pirate makeup will just melt off of him in the summer heat. He wanted to do horseback riding when he fell and got stitches. I may still do that but I think there is a week long horse camp at home that is the same cost I think he would enjoy more.

I am just not sure what to do. We had talked about the Wishes Dessert party. I haven't looked in a while to see if those are sold out yet. If I don't come up with something, he and I might do the balloon at DTD. We have always wanted to do that--Tom not so much.

I am running out of time today to finish posting so I will post my Thanksgiving ressies tomorrow.

Hope everyone is having a great day and beating the heat! It is a sunny, humid 94 here today! :cool2:

Looks like a great schedule. I am looking forward to eating at Cape May when I go on my girls trip in August/Sept.

With your AP, are you going to get the Tables in Wonderland card? I would think that would be a better bet for ya'll - then you could eat an appetizer if you wanted - or share with everyone.

We need to figure out where we overlap on our park schedule so that we can plan to meet up!

My older daughter is really tall - and everyone thinks she is a college student. But she has been 5'8 since she was about 11. She towers over me! It's funny - she has a 15 year old boyfriend - and she looks older than he does! But...it does present its own set of problems.

Hooray for being out of school! This is the first day I have been able to stay home and be totally free of school obligations, and it feels incredibly good. :cool1:

I am glad Jeremy will get to swim. I had a feeling he would be cleared. Swimming is a big thing for a kid on a Disney trip.

Since we almost always visit Wilderness Lodge, maybe we'll meet you there before your Saturday evening ADR. We can text closer to time and see if that works. There are all those nice sitting areas out in the lobby right there where you are going to check in to eat.

Great update!!! The pirates cruise looks like fun! That's annoying that the dad kept everyone waiting for so long! We are both SOOOOO close!!!

OOOhhhh that pirate cruise looks like fun.

Glad Jeremy's leg healed ok and looks like it won't need surgery.

Great news about Jeremy being able to swim and no surgery in the future.

:banana: for being able to buy clothes two size smaller than last summer.

Your ADR make me hungry just reading the list. They look great.

I looked at the Tables in Wonderland card but still have not made up my mind on it. Are you getting one? The real problem for me is those 6 of 10 meals that are buffet or family style. :confused3 I know I will eat a lot less but still pay full price. Too many decisions to make!

I am glad Jeremy is tall and I know he will appreciate it when he is older, but it does present problems. Jeremy is a child that will allow anyone to walk all over him. It drives Tom crazy. I look at it as he is being compassionate and not wanting to start something with another child. However, whenever something happens at school the teacher always blames Jeremy. I finally told her at parent-teacher one night that I had enough and she needed to get all the facts before she assumed the big kid did it. It did get better.

:banana:Yay! So glad you are done with school and can finally relax.

Wilderness Lodge sounds great. I will PM you my cell phone number. I may still have yours from last year but PM it to me anyway. I will try to send you some AKL photos before you arrive while we are there.

I know!!! I am getting sooooo excited. I can't wait for the next few weeks to fly by!

Jeremy had a blast on the cruise. I sort of wish I could have went! It looked like lots of fun.

We have some new ADRs this time and some old family favorites. Really looking forward to it.

I still have not decided about the Tables in Wonderland card. We got one way back in 2006 when we had an annual pass the last time - and I am not sure that we got our money's worth - especially since 2 of the three times that we went we had free dining. And you do get some discounts with the AP - if you are doing lunch during the week - you get a discount at quite a few TS.

You have to spend $375 on TS food to break even on the card - and then with the card, really your only discount is that you basically have the tip covered. I just can't decide that it's worth it. But with our year of Disney - it MIGHT be. The thing is...we wouldn't typically pay out of pocket for a table service. We'd mostly eat on the cheap.

Way back when - we used it as our beer discount card (beer isn't included in free dining! :-) - and then we used it for the Princess B'fast in Norway. But that was pretty much it.

Such a quandary!

Great ADRs!! :thumbsup2 And yay for Jeremy's leg being all healed up!!

I love that you do something special for Jeremy each trip. Can't wait to hear what you decide to do for this trip. I think we're going to do the Wishes Dessert party next spring.

And Congrats on the smaller pants!!! :goodvibes

I am leaning towards the Behind the Seeds tour. Jeremy loves Living with the Land and it would be a surprise he would enjoy.

Tell me about it! There are a lot of decisions to make planning a Disney trip!

Do you have your park days planned yet? We are sort of playing it by ear. Would love to meet up with you at some point.

We sort of have a rough notion - I am relying on Touring plans - so hopefully the per park crowd calendar is accurate! We will probably be doing something each day - and we have the water park tickets, too. This is what I THINK we'll be doing:

6/26 - waterpark
6/27 - HS
6/29 - Epcot
6/30 - AK
7/1 - MK
7/2 - Epcot
7/6 - HS
7/8 - MK or AK

But...who knows :-) And there will be a lot more waterpark days.

And yes...we need to meet up :thumbsup2 - if we get that on the calendar - we can at least stick to that! Do we line up at all with things you know you are doing??

Great updates! I can't believe you can remember all of that! I especially loved reading about the Pirate adventure. We sent Tyson on one of those (from the Grand Floridian) a few years back. Such a cool little activity. I'm glad a parent finally stepped forward to voice an opinion about the dad who couldn't make up his mind!

Look like our best bet to make a quick DisMeet will be Wednesday, June 29. We are eating at Akershus at 10:45 and you will be at the San Angel Inn at noon... we will be close!!! Sure hoping we can at least say hello and let the kids meet each other, too!

Right now, I think we are doing a water park on July 1st. We decided against the premium pass so we are only doing one water park this trip. I know that on 6/27 and 6/29 we will be at Epcot in the morning since our ressies are there and 6/28 is AK day. Other than that, I have nothing set in stone. I promised the boys I would not plan park days this year and go with the flow. How about I pm you my cell and we can keep in touch each day about where we will be? Does that work for you?

Thanks! My memory is usually pretty good on Disney things and things that happen with Jeremy. Other than that, I am screwed!!!

Jeremy did love the pirate cruises. I am so glad he did those things when he was little as he wanted no part of them this year. They grow up way too fast!!

The 29th works for me! However, if you want, we can still text each day to see where we are. My park days are not set in stone. We will probably decide each morning which parks we will be in that day. We may cross paths sooner than the 29th. I so look forward to meet you and your family. I know Jeremy will love meeting Tyson and Shae. Oh, it is getting sooooo close.

We ended up with the premium pass because my girls want to do Disney Quest so badly. If I can finagle a renewal - I think they will be regular passes.

It looks like the 29th would be a good bet. I messaged you my cell and my facebook info - and we can figure out all the details closer to the time!

Hey Erika - just catching up! Soooooo happy to hear about Jeremy's leg - that is awesome news all the way around! :woohoo:

I can't believe that Dad and the little girl on the Pirate's cruise, obviously she didn't want to be there and that was very inconsiderate of him to continue to force the issue. :sad2: Glad the situation was finally resolved and Jeremy enjoyed the adventure :thumbsup2

Hi Michelle! I hadn't checked my own trip for a while and saw where you posted. Yes, we are really relieved about Jeremy's leg. It is looking better every day.

I just don't get some parents! :confused3 I encourage Jeremy to do things but if he doesn't want to, oh well. Really hoping beyond hope that he will stick to what he has been saying and ride a few rides we never have---TOT, Space Mountain, Haunted Mansion---time will tell.......But, if not, there is always another time. No point ruining the trip over it. :)
