Fireworks Dessert Party - update?

Haven't heard anything yet. We'd love to attend it & hope it comes back soon.

Sounds like the programs is under financial and other business process review, since what exactly would require refurbishment, especially after such a short time period?

Don't know but I have heard the area around the Noodle Station is boarded up.

PLEASE can I find out if this will be on in April when we go :confused3

Any ideas of how to confirm and if so book?

Thanks

Nope, there's no way to find out until Disney makes an announcement or makes it available for booking, and they haven't yet. Only thing they've said so far is it may be back "in the spring."

I was really hoping it would have been open marathon w/e, we were so wanting to go! watch then raise the price a ton...just b/c they can.

I called yesterday and a very helpful cast member told me that they still hadn't been informed on the new start date for the party
She suggested I call back in a couple of weeks

I wonder if they are making actual physical changes to the area in order to make the dessert party a more permanent thing?? It would make sense. It is a huge money maker for Disney.

I hope this comes back. I would love to do this on my next trip. The desserts look so great in the pictures I've seen on other threads.

I'm really wanting to do this as well! The desserts look so yummy. I agree with PP who said they hope the prices don't increase dramatically.

do oyu have a good view of the fireworks at the dessert party?

i want to do it but dont wantt o miss the works!

We attended this in July on our honeymoon! It was wonderful. We had a nice table for just the two of us and the buffet was amazing. Best of all, we could just stay seated at our table and have a fantastic view of the Wishes fireworks! I really hope they bring this back, we'd love to do it again! :rainbow:

I wonder if they are removing the overhang? We had a table for two in the front of the patio in early December, and it was perfect. All of the table in back of us were not able to see the high fireworks, so had to move forward and stand. Of course, it was raining, so I stayed at my table and sipped my decaf. Best way to see the fireworks ever!

I think it'd be better with some wine but no can do in MK.

I hope they consider Easter 2010 Spring.

I called WDW dining and they said no ADR's available yet for the Dessert Party as of 1/21/10.

I will try again on 2/1, 2/15 and when we get to WDW on 3/31/10 :goodvibes

I am sorry but there is no way I am paying that kind of money just for sweets... I love sweets BUT I would not even eat half of that amount in dessert.I have seen those pics people were posting and I can just feel myself gaining 10 vacation pouds just LOOKING.

i spoke w/the manager of the dessert party back in late august after it had started and it was slated *then* for january refurb to install ceiling fans and make a few other modifications to the area to make it more suitable for the dessert party event :)

Sounds like it will be returning!! I would love to try it during our late May trip so I hope it does. :thumbsup2
